  3. Call me an old coot but isn't MJ just as bad as Driving drunk, and if so why put other's on the mountain in dangeras well as yourself just because you want to bong-on (Aussie slang for tokein' ). Have a joint but not on the mountain guys please. Mozz
  4. I try to stay as fit as possible, and S T R E C H well before hitting the slope. Keeping yourself Hydrated will help a lot, Mineral supliments are supposedly good but I prefer just plain water with maybe a touce of Juice added . Keep the blood shugars up by eating regularly and have a good feed for breackfast like containing plenty of complex carbo's , and suppliment this with thinks like MAR's or Muslie Bars etc. I'm an old fart at 45 and don't bounce as well as I used to but you young pups aint gunna have all the fun... RIGHT :) Mozz

  10. I've been watching the Web Cams in the US from here in the southern Highlands and since my Tickets and vouchers for accomidation arrived today, I'm starting to dream of what the 2005 SES is going to be like . I guess I'll find out in 3 months 14 Days 15 Minutes if the Plane isn't late :) See you all soon . MozzMann aka Maurie PS The Oz Carve Web site is down due to my domain name agent's balls up .
  11. Thanks Michell , I'll bring both as I use the Hard Boots on the Custom '68 anyway from time to time and man don't it turn . :) I'll only be an extra couple of kilo's . See you all soon :D
  12. Yes Dan I PM'ed you with a couple of details, I'm heading out of Canberra on the 12 th and into Aspen on the 12 th and out on the evening of the 19th. I have all in place now , I just gotta decide which board / s to take Obviously the Race 85 and the hardies and my brand spankin' TDII's but should I pack the custom and softies should we get a pow day :D . Any advice from the Bomber front would be welcome. Mozz
  13. Gees this just gets better and better , looks like I just scored a Share deal at the Mountain Chalet in Aspen. for $1075 .AUD This includes a 4 Mountain 6 day Pass too :D and my Air Fare has only set me back $1740. AUD + Taxes Iget on the Plane 70 Mile away Man I'm getting a woody already . Mozz
  14. The last I heard was from Snowflake Inn who'd do me a Kitchenette room for $129.00/night I'm sure that would drop if I could guarantee say 20 people or so :) How about stiring the pot for your end . I'll see if I can shake up some agents this end as I've already stirred one bloke up as there is an add for lodging and Lift pass for $X and now he sends me an email saying that it is nearlly twice that and no pass so he'll be getting a shakeup for false advertising. Maurie
  15. Thanks for the good wishes people , I'm trying to put together a package now and get more Aussies to come over. I've managed to get a bloody good deal on Air fares Under $2k Aud Return and I'm wirkin on getting the best 4/5 Person Condo deal I can put together to keep the costs down . Ideas would be welcome thanks. Maybe if we all banded together and booked out an entire floor in one of the lodges we'd get a cool deal (something to think about) [bird in the hand syndrome] you know guaranteed occupancy. Any way I'm 80-90% there now .
  16. Nah mate it's called saving likabastard for 2 years to get there . Iwant to get some quality shots for my Oz Carve web site. I just heard that the price willbe a bit higher than I had planned but I'm still headin' your way. there ain't no way you yanks are gunna have all the fun :)
  17. OK My state of Play at present I'll be flying out of Oz on the 6th and Arrive Denver on the 6th (weired eh) 2:30 PM , I'll possibly get a Bus to Aspen or be Hireing a Van Similar to my own car here. ( Opps scratch that just been advised I can fly in and out of Aspen ) I have arranged a 14 night stay in Aspen WITH 14 Day 4 Mountain lift pass for $1500 AUD through a local Snow Travel agent :D . Now if I can't get a friend to come with me I'll have spare room( I think) and since I'll be in Aspen a week ahead of time I might if asked nicely be able to pick others up from the Airport. I resheduled my Air fares took a bit of haggeling but it's done now.$ 1740 Aud Touch wood it looks like I'm there Mozz
  18. Thanks Michell I'm going to need some help locating cost effective accomidation as it looks like that will be the biggest expence. Hireing a Car and driving from other areas doesn't bother me but there is a trade off of course. I'll keep an eye on the 2005 thread and that should help with decisions , when I know later next month if I can afford to go I'll be pre booking as early as I can . I share too if anyone can put up with a middle aged yuppie.:) Maurie
  19. Well since I didn't manage to get there Feb this year, I'm gunna bust my butt to get there for 2005. I managed to hang on to my tickets and have them open dated for 18 Months. so if I don't use them next Feb I loose out . Mozz
  20. Interesting Subject and question . I actually use my Hardboots o my Burton Custom because I got funny ankles and I have found that I can get lots of speed and stability with the Hardies rather than more conventional snowboarding boots. Sure raises some eyebrows when ya carve a 7 - 8 meter turn just about layin down . Works for my riding all over the mountain , but I can't say I ever seen anyone rideing the pipe in hardies. Mozz
  21. Hi once again fellas after I haven't been on the forum so long . Away working New season just about to open here in Oz BUT I finally got my TD2's Yummy . But I couldn't get 3 hole disks so I thought of using a block of alloy in the lightening recess to spread the load and drilling the required hole (to suit my Burton Race 85). Any ideas as to wether this will weaken the 4 hole disk by doing so. Also have Guy's n' Gals the Oz Carve Web site should be a goer for the 2004 Oz season, Mainly with Trail maps to indicate the best runs for the carver. I'll be marking some other's in suited to those who like to use hardboots on free ride Boards. Cheers all. Mozz
  22. I'm still hoping but my careing duties are heavy at present and the wife health is not good. .. :( but we'll see . Money in the bank for Air Fares. I'll solve where I roll out the swag when I get there. :)
