there is just not enough structural support in the boots.
My gut instinct is they made the boots like that to reduce the amount of force that could possibly be applied to the boot and binding interface to reduce the likely hood of failure

A little, I have noticed my toes are getting colder this year.
So that’s probably from the plastic. Overall, don’t love them though.
I can deal with the flex, what I can’t riddle is the heel lift. If you over tighten them, then you freeze. I’ve tried the heel grabbers, but they have a pull cord system as well, so now your managing two sets of pull cords, and something always caused a hot spot.Heel lift is why I've always choosen a boot with boa heel lock for my franken not so soft boots.

Powerride are the japanese company that makes the tongue inserts pretty much the same concept to my DIY efforts

400v 3 phase not for my house. How long before FIS imposes structure rules. Lots of variables to experiment with. I wonder in the end if no pattern will be the fastest ? Will it fit in the trunk of my car along with my folding skis ?
If only i had known this was a thing my work literally shipped out a pallet of argon lazers to auction and our forklifts charge off of 3phase lol

its just super weird as its had a zebra crossing added lol

why is Elan using a photoshopped pic of glasgow city center at the start of the video is my question 0_0???

@Faceake are you looking to ride soft or hardboots? If its softboots it might be worth looking up DSUK, now your probably not in need of there services but most of there instructors also teach normal lessons at snowdomes and resorts. so it might help to find out who they are and when it comes to lessons ask if you can request one of them as they will have experience working around injuries. For example if its glasgow snowfactor itll be james flemming youd be best off asking for as he works for both dsuk and sf

My union atlas flicked up about 2 or 3 degrees at the toe edge end of the foot bed

Flux DSW
https://www.flux-bindings.com/products/DSW/?color=2
I did use Rome sds targa at 33 degree's on my front foot the high back can be rotated a resonable amount but not quite enough thatll you can get it paralell to maybe 10 degrees off. They are no longer made as they have been replaced by the Cleaver model but the mounting hardware is the same so most likely has the same amount of rotation. -
Asian riders ride flow, flux and SP bindings well into the 40-50 degree range. I'd say the lack of rotation is somewhat mitigated against by riding in the stiffest boots you can get and technique.
I've seen a few riders mount a wingd highback so the wing is on the inside and provides so additional support

snowboard clothing has retained the same baggy gang banger look for nearly 20 years.
I need the baggy fit I'm 32inch waist i need to wear size XXL on alot of brands not to have them skin tight....
In terms of hardboots i get the feeling the ship has long ago sailed for them ever to return to being the mass majority none of your big brands are going to push a boot that will last you 10 years vs a boot that needs to replaced every year. -
For heel or toe lift youll need some very very special bindings or risers.

As someone who lives at sea level where the tallest mountain is less than 4500 feet I start feeling the effects of altitude very very easily fortunately it wears off after a few days. There has been atleast a couple of times where ive lost a whole day of riding on holiday because i feel so bad that my balence is shot and i cant ride

Id stay away from the union atlas and go with either the flux xv)xf or the flows. Not heard from anyone with the new rides yet but folks thought highly of the el hefes that there replacing.
As for boots I'd try to them on first and see what you prefer fit is everything
