  1. kinda on topic i guess, but I am having trouble getting enough topside leverage on my front foot with my upz and td3 combo. Toeside turns are great until i really pressure it due to high speed, or being near the "end" of my turn on a steep slope, and then i will get the chatter from the front part of the board when it won't hold anymore. I've improved this issue in the past with my F2 bindings by moving my front foot closer to the toeside edge, finding that fine line between the best leverage and toe boot-out. I've got the td3 toe piece moved as far forward as it will go, and at my angle 58ish, i can't get the boot far enough forward. I am getting (a little) heelside bootout, but can't move the boot forward any further in the binding. My question is, how detrimental would it be to my heelside turn if i align the td3 disc horizontally (across the board) and move the whole binding one "notch" towards my toeside? Is this commonly done? Should I just go back to my f2's where this was not much of a problem? The td3's are newish to me and i hoped they would give me more power, makes things more solid, etc., but i am having a hard time getting them set to work for me as good as the f2's. Any suggestions? thanks!!
  2. that "wiggle" in the video is not the norm for these set ups, at least the 3 combos i have tried, and reports from others around here who have tried them. The attachment was rock solid, and i loved everything about them, until the set up i purchased started popping out as i mentioned above. I returned for refund, no issues. I will try another combo whenever they are more readily available, as the 2 sets of demos i tried did not have this issue.
  3. anyone having issues with one of the front engagement points popping out? I ride regular foot, and on a hard heelside carve, or when really torquing my rear foot inward, the right side front engagement point pops out. heading back to the shop where i bought them this week to discuss. it looks like those 2 front engagement points on the binding may be replaceable? performance! and convenience are great, but this disengagement is scary. looks like those points will wear pretty severely, but time will tell.
  4. brand new, in plastic, Nitro Pantera SC 163. Love this board, my current one is a 160, and I bought one to replace it, but did not mean to get a 163. could go $400 obo. can send photos. thanks!

    SOLD Madd 170

For sale: Madd 170 in excellent condition. I bought it earlier this year from this forum, and rode it for maybe 10 runs. I loved it, but prefer a bit wider waist, and want to sell this to help finance another Coiler. Let me know if anyone has any questions. Asking $300. plus actual shipping costs, or can deliver somewhere between Telluride and denver early april. Willing to entertain reasonable offers or trades (Swoard?).
  6. nice. don't these have rocker in the front? do you know what year? thx!
  7. mig- are you saying you would put the plastic tongues between the liner and shell of your soft boot? I like this idea. anyone know of an available plastic tongue one could use with a malamute?
  8. Thanks again Richard- this thing is in great shape! Question: I'm using F2 carve rs bindings and 312mm shell upz boots. Even at 60/55 It looks like i will have some boot-out on one side or the other. Looking forward to experimenting tomorrow. what angles are you guys running on an 18cm wide board with a comparable size boot (28-28.5) in order to not have any toe or help drag?
  9. what i thought. thx for clarifying.
  10. thx for the info Jim and others. Good info on other thread as well. I am enjoying tweaking my stance out on the slopes and noticing even very small changes. Would you consider heel/toe lift that is set at the same angle as my bindings/stance, cant?
  11. anyone tried the Technine 3 strap bindings? I assume they have a way to lock the highback in place? I wish i still had an old pair of Torque's...
  12. being fairly new here, and to new gear after a 15 year hardboot hiatus, I was wonder about what stances people run. I have always used a high angle, narrow-stance tuck knee kind of thing on both soft and hard setups since I started in early 90's. I currently am about 18.5-19 on my softboot setups, and 17.75 on my hardboot setup, which is a Coiler nirvana energy 169 and td3's (standard) at 57/48. I plan on adding more hardboot setups to my quiver down the road once I figure out what works for me and what I like. What stance widths do some of you run, and what do you see beneficial about narrower or wider stances? thx!!
  13. Size 27.5 Upz atb's. Bought new Feb. '16. Used probably 10 days, and unfortunately are a bit small for me. Super-comfy. $375 or make an offer.
  14. I may try a wide board, 27cm waist or more, for low-angle softie carving for my next set up, but my current soft boot set up is a coiler bx w/ 23.7 waist, and 8.5 scr. For full carves (no boot-out) i need to go about 48/39. my boots are malamutes size 10, and have power plates under my rossignol Xavier bindings. I do ride the setup similar to the way I ride my hard boot setups, but it's more comfy and flexible in variable runs and conditions, and carves surprisingly well. It works perfectly for what i was trying to achieve, which was a set-up that was in between my hardboot stuff and my everyday soft set up, a nitro pantera, ridden with 33/24 angles.
  15. thx- i forgot about that resource! i'll pm you either way soon.
  16. anyone know specs/ride characteristics of this board? What year(s) was this made? thx!!
  17. anyone know the waist width and sidecut radius of this? i'm interested, and in Telluride...
  18. im interested in the 28's. still have them? photos? thanks!
