  1. Demo REV! Those look real nice! I called up my bank account and it said ride your old fusion BX because its not the early 90's so no hook ups for you any more....Kidding( kind of) mostly jealous...Look forward to riding with everyone. Winter is here. I will be at the High Saturday or Sunday but its a kids weekend for me. Next weekend 19th/20th both days. Look for the stormtrooper.
  2. If i go to summit( which I would like to) I could use a discounted pass. Sunday = Funday at Summit right?
  3. Ill post up but I go to mt high/Theo(kingcrimson) rides there as well although he is on the injured list for the next couple weeks. I will always post up here if i am going. Look for the stormtrooper...
  4. I have broken my nose and jaw before. Sorry, makes perfect sense to me. i didn't like how bulky a mountain bike helmet was. Besides Willow/ it is made by BRITS!
  5. I placed a 6 inch tether to one of the clips so that I can drop the face mask without fear of losing it on the chairlift or anywhere for that matter. It is a serious design flaw in my opinion but corrected with a shoelace
  6. Yes, I have one and its sweet. I have not done a review yet. Its expensive but the goggles are sick and I really like the helmet.
  7. Wow. Look ma, no rails...Thats what I call terrain features. I had no idea that lexan and steel were terrain features...
  8. MTHIGH WILL OPEN BEFORE MAMMY HAHAHAHAHA and at full coverage will be worse than mammoth on opening day. sigh...:(
  9. Too busy making softboot plates for new comedic material. Once those are done...Make the upper part... straps and a beeechin' highback!
  10. There is a similar thread from January from a chris allen...I think he mentions this same board...not sure WTH is going on here...The board mentioned is wide but not 33cm at the waist...clarification and photos would be nice. I never can tell why people will post pics on request???just post pics.. :AR15firin:freak3:
  11. Shaquile O neals old BX deck...33cm waist! haha
  12. Welcome BFM! I represent, along with a handful of others, The Wrightwood (Mt. High) crew. Offering up a place to crash anywhere near Mammy/June is the best way to make friends here. Hope you have room because we are coming, and we are bringing gear and knowledge!
  13. The over 40 club has kept hardbooting alive! Why not photos and coverage of older rippers.
  14. I would love to show up in hardboot regalia and ask for a "lesson" here in So Cal. The funny thing would be to have/see the local instructors follow us turn for turn. I can see the skidding now....
  15. Divebomber. I understand...you are an unhappy person that wants to make others feel your pain. I am not having it, but I appreciate your pessimistic attitude. Try that with any helmet...guess what, you sweat and **** fogs up... duh:smashfrea Ray, its not very heavy at all. Like most any helmet once its on, you don't notice. I was surprised at how well the field of view was through the goggles, claustrophobia never set in with the mask on.
  16. No doubt...not here in so cal
  17. I drove in Mammoth this winter in my 99' 4matic wagon with michellin pilot 245/45/17 m+s tires this past winter. I forcibly tried to spin/slide/burnout in just about every condition from 8-16" of fresh on ice to hard pack ice and the car just would not step out of line. The tranny also has a winter/summer switch allowing in "winter mode" to never engage first gear so the car starts and stops in 2nd gear. I love this car...and plan to never have her see a set of chains up and personal...
  18. Boots are 27 liners upper shell and tongue 25.5-27 lower shell 26.5-27 normal scuffs/nothing bent or broken I'm regular footed so RT boot shows a little more wear. $40 + shipping??
  19. It arrived and the medium size is too small for me so back it goes. I will be getting it replaced with the proper "large" size. I did examine it and of course had to try it on and the points you made Divebomber, were not out of line. The goggles and lenses are just flat out sweet and I do like how the helmet alone with goggles fit. The mask is close to the face and does not easily lock in. I could see how the tabs could be clumsy and break and lacks a retention clip or cable for the mask which is easily rectifiable. Living here on the west coast and riding primarily at a crappy ass hill like Mountain High, the mask is mainly for snow blowers sending pellet snow at your face/ extreme cold here is nary an issue. I like the nomex mask that the formula one racers wear under the helmets and for extremely cold days, will probably utilize that in addition to the mask. Without the mask, the helmet alone with the goggles is pretty sweet. It will be a couple weeks before I get the replacement so I will not post a full review with video and pictures until then.
  20. Thanks davekempmeister! It will arrive this afternoon or tomorrow. We will all know then. Review post will follow with youtube review.
