  1. great news! Ill send her back if its a POS!
  2. I think preventative protection is important! As I get older (and more fragile) preventing injuries allows me more days on the hill:biggthump
  3. I have tried bmx and mtn bike style helmets and the protruding jaw is not something I was comfortable with.
  4. I have tried box and mtn bike style helmets and the protruding jaw is not something I was comfortable with.
  5. II mainly purchased for the face protection from falls and secondly for west coast snowmaking which happens every second it is cold enough to blow snow. Frozen pellets hurt at speed and I hate the snot gator. Yes inclusive price helmet and goggles is reasonable. Attic white...storm trooper... I will post up in gear review area once it arrives and when the snow flies!
  6. Just placed the order:confused: $258 shipped. I hope it is sweet!
  7. The. Helmet allows airflow/breath to go between the face/ goggle area and up over the head between the shell and the liner. Go to the UK site. Not the limited US distributor site. The whole of the design is to eliminate fogging. I get the point but when I jog even on a hot day, my perspiration fogs my sunglasses. Just saying...
  8. Don't worry, the force is strong in this one! I will review it as soon as I get it with better detail and pictures. <iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zwFprUlNZu0" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" width="560"></iframe>
  9. Look at the related youtube videos of formula one pit crews using these very same helmet/goggle/mask combination. You think those guys get hot and sweaty?
  10. RG-1 Core http://shop.rurocusa.com/RG-1-Core-Arctic- <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/RCJWxdTNvkY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>White-Textured-Finish-200-000.htm Pretty dope helmet. I will be purchasing mine direct from the UK. I called the US vendor/distributor and got a "not so knowledgeable salesperson"
  11. flow!/ fastec=breaktec I think the high backs can be a little soft however they just dont break.
  12. TThanks for the heads up. I am over at Mt High and had to settle for the useless airbag pass with my season pass. Sadly, I may only make it over to Summit for USASA races this year and perhaps the end of season get together? Hope to see you Summit regulars at SNES!
  13. Cool! so you wont be needing the stepins or fintec heels!
  14. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Burton-Ultra-Prime-Race-Carver-Snowboard-168-cm-/250886985443?pt=Snowboarding&hash=item3a6a0796e3
  15. Wow! She is a beauty. Looks like a really fun ride!
  16. Definitely got the job done but the new track 700 suit the job a little better
  17. Mammoth pricing is more like trailer trash, at least thats the condition of the property. Mammoth is a zoo and over-hyped in my opinion. I have been riding at Mammoth since 79' as a grommet skier. At $94.00 usd for a day pass and some of the longest liftlines known to man on a weekend, you can have it! I'll be at June!
  18. No cracks and light wear. Need to confirm if they are 27 or 27.5 liners. $40 + ship??? Have 20+ days at 3 hrs a day tops...Im a softie primarily and these were too soft for my Ultra Prime.. Great for a an all mtn or pow board?
  19. I have a pair of Burton Freecarve size 27, 3 buckle. Interested? Pics coming make me an offer These are not intec compatible. Hope you are all having a great summer and thanks to Terryw, I won't be needing these boots anymore!
  20. I'm jonesing for snow but it doesn't hit me hard until October. I can stave off the urge to carpet carve until then. Come on bonus...need to order up some metal before its too late!
  21. I used to use a collapsible/backcountry ski pole and the grip would pop off to reveal a tripod threaded anchor for my camera. I have a ton of old 8mm? footage I need to convert from my Crystal Mountain days. Great job BTW! I know for a fact that I am twitching to ride. Good to see I am not alone!
  22. I have been looking into different helmets as I have been wearing them since the early 90's but always a skate helmet...I would like something to protect my face as I usually lead with it when eating crap. I also dont want the gate-basher look if I can help it. Ebay does not have a single chin/jaw protector available for alpine ski or snowboard use:(
  23. Wow! That is hot! I need a phat bonus to order some lumber and composite like that!
  24. Very cool. I am having a tough time finding a helmet with even a jaw protector
