  1. 26 years and counting......all the way back to 1988 and learnig to ride a new Burton Safari at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs
  2. Anybody got the stats, specifically Sidecut Radius for this board or Virus freeride boards in general?? Seems like a SCR of 12 or 14 is what I remember..
  3. Anybody got Frank's new emal.......mine keeps bouncing back - BJ
  4. Well it rides/tracks very well flat but it wants to be on it's side to rail on groomers and I used it at SES two years ago 2013 and it loved the 6 + inches of POW we seemed to have the frist three days.....i don't even think I changed my stance width for the pow it was so confident and floated so well. I took it to Montana and with speed, on edge it just cut through the chopped up afternoon groomer crud I'm 6'2 220lbs and it's plenty torsionally stiff, but soft because of the noise and tail - Rides longer than you'd think because of the substancial effective edge......and did I mention LIGHT! the board by itself has to be around 8 pounds!........I'll weigh it when I take the bindings off Probably be a lot of fun in softboots also! Here's more info - Virus Avalanche FLP AFT 160: Length - 158.0 Effective Edge - 141.0 Nose Width - 29.5 Waist Width - 25.0 Tail Width - 27.8 Check out these reviews also: app=mambers&module=messaging&section=view&do=showConversation&topicID=244&st=0#msg609 http://www.snowboard...he-flp-aft.html barryj01@msn.com
  5. Hi Quebec It's in the listing - 160cm Waist is 25cm
  6. Bought it new in bag in Jan. of 2012 from Bomber member, Tellurider AFT: Advanced Flight Technology FLP: F---ing Light Project It is a great ride, rails with carbon kevlar composite construction with ash wood core. Base and edges in great shape, 8+ out of 10 Carbon Topsheet has typical carbon (AKA:not very risistant to) scratches, dings and chips, 4 out of 10 But ZERO Effect On Performance I tried to show an example of a couple of photos of topsheet chips, from the top and then how little effect it had on the side/core from the side. Also, you can see in photo a couple a fade spots from sun by the Brand and model names on the topsheet. Virus calls it a freeride board. I call it an all mountain board that loves the groomers, the pow and the crud. I love it but moved up to Virus UFC (thanks Ladia!) and I have only put one run on it this season and I feel sad when I leave it behind, so it needs a new home Link to Virus: shop.virus-snowsports.com Virus Avalanche AFT FLP $1100 Euros = $1300 New Price Drop - $500 Shipped Bindings not included but a little binding suck showing in photo I will get it tuned and waxed before shipping barryj01@msn.com

  9. Love Mammoth but too far for regular daily use- Think I will use the Epic Pass for Heavenly/Northstar as my local Mtns. and make a trip to Brek for SES.
  10. I thought it was the EPIC pass, Brek/ABasin/Keystone but No Aspen resorts. Anybody know what I'm looking for??
  11. So the 168 is gone?? What was the weight range of the 168? What was the waist?
  12. Hey!Cool! I'll look for ya Friday. I usually drive down and back the same day......I know, for one day that's more time in the car than on the Mtn. but I got other plans for the weekend. I still got the Black Virus Carbon FLP AFT. Hey, what ever happened to that Virus UFC that you broke? Frank ever replace it for you?BJ
  13. Thinking of making the big drive (3+ hours one way from Lake Tahoe) for one last day of the season at Mammoth.Anybody been up this week to report on conditions??Anybody gonna be there Fri?Saw two carvers at Kirkwood last Sunday for last day of the season there......some guy walking through the village in hardboots with a Rossi VAS board and from a distance another guy with yellow pants, never couuld see the board ....Ladia was that you?
  14. Cool - Thanks for that info. How was the snowpack and the grooming at Heavenly compared to your day at Kirkwood?
  15. Avante - Are those runs on the CA or NV side?? Do you like one side better?
  16. Buckboard - Yeah your right. I liked that but it got crowded half way down as it funnels down to the main lodge
  17. Avante - I was at Kirkwood Sat. I thougt the conditions/grooming was Fab!........but had a hard time finding the perfect consistant pitch blue groomer for me. Elevator shaft was great, but lots of rollers in general at Kirkwood I thought. How would you compare your experience at Heavenly? Trails you'd recomend for consistant easy blue's?
  18. Hey Ex - Thanks for that info - I'll check out Elevator Shaft off Sunrise!
  19. Hey Ladia,Thanks for the info. I'd been to Kwood, but late in the season and it was mush by 10:30. Never been to Heavenly.Looking for big, wide open Blue groomers
  20. Two of my favorite runs, Sherwod Lift at Alpine Meadows is shut down for the season...well it was really never open that much this season anyway.....and Squaw Creek Lift at Squaw is shut down also.....so thinking of driving down to South Lake to Heavenly or Kirkwood this Sat........anybody recommend one over the other? .......for better grooming?....better wide open runs?......less traffic to dodge on the trail?
  21.
