  1. Thanks for that input Geoff, I hope to give it a go in a few days.
  2. Thanks folks. I designed the top sheet to be rather subtle, turned out very nice. This one has the same specs as Jack's board. Approx. 171cm / 21cm waist / 14 SCR Bruce does amazing work, now I just need to call in sick so I can ride it.
  3. Just in case anyone was wondering, that shirt is not official. Just a screen printer on eBay making money off of other peoples trademarks.
  4. Greg, next time you want to get some air like that, let me know! I'd love to add a hardbooter to the terrain park photo gallery
  5. Buck will be making snow over the next few nights to get things back in shape. Should be good this weekend.
  6. Thanks for all the tips everyone! I ended up scoring a great deal on a lightly used Canon XT with a 28-135mm IS lens. Photos from my first outing with the camera are here: http://www.buckhill.com/winter/tpgallery.shtml
  7. Awesome! Karl, I have an idea for setting the course. Before you set, I'll take a run, then you set the gates at the apex of my tracks. ;)
  8. Terrible news. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
  9. Greg, what camera are you shooting with?
  10. First of all, I hate the term "extreme carving" for many reasons (MN folks know why). However, I do like to drag various parts of my body on the snow. Much like dragging a knee on a sportbike, I use my hands/forearms as a feeler and try not to put much weight on them. I love high speed and high g-force carves, I don't know how to accomplish those things without dragging body parts through the snow.
  11. Everything from family shots, scenery, to action sports. These are some shots I took over the weekend with my Lumix FZ7: http://buckhill.com/winter/tpgallery.shtml I've been looking at the Canon XSI as a starter DSLR, but everywhere I go people point me towards Nikon.
  12. Could one of the experts educate me on lenses a bit? If I bought a cheap D70 and a nice lens, would that lens be compatible with other Nikons if I decided to upgrade the camera?
  13. Thanks for the tips everyone, keep 'em coming.
  14. Any advice for someone that is jumping into this hobby?
  15. Bringing up an old thread here. After tearing some new and expensive mitts after only two days of use, I was searching on BOL for glove reviews and came across this post. I picked up some Plasti-Dip and used it to bring several old pairs of gloves back to life. Excellent stuff. Thanks Geoff.
  16. Bummer, I need to connect up with him.
  17. DATE 1/21/09 TEMP 28 VISIBILITY Night CONDITIONS Really nice, but a little chewed up after a busy day. HARDBOOTERS 2 (Me, and another unidentified carver seen from the lift) Took a friend out last night that is fairly new to snowboarding. The hill was quite busy but the snow was good, just as good as Afton was earlier in the day. Saw another carver on the hill, but could not identify him from the lift.

Great pics Greg! It's funny how you can pick out each rider just from the thumbnails, everyone has their own style!
  19. Seriously? I just placed an order for a top sheet that is supposed to be printed this week and shipped to Bruce. Please tell me that this is not how it usually works.
  20. You should talk to Rufus. He had one but it broke, he may be interested in replacing it.
