    Yo Lci!!

LOL, not your trench, but John and I were talking about some of the pretty deep trenches that had been laid down on that run. What happened was I went heelside and came out of the transition with my weight a little too far back on the board. As I started the change to toeside I had too much speed, couldn't get my weight to the nose or the middle of the board, so I wasnt ready, tried to compensate (i.e. tightened up and raised my center of gravity instead of relaxed into it and lowered my center) which led to me catching the edge on that transition. Threw me downhill sliding on my right tricep and lat, ouch! In hindsight, I hadn't warmed up enough on the easier stuff and gotten used to the conditions and tackled that run too early....live and learn. See ya at the milk!

    Yo Lci!!

Sorry to bail early guys, Lovey ate me up and spit me out, and my right tricep suffered from the carnage (Thought it was also my lat but after some icing it appears to only be the tricep). I couldn't even close my right bail with my right hand, thought the best thing was to bug out. Hopefully its just a pull and not a tear, R.I.C.E. is in full effect. Any way it was great taking a few runs with you guys and hopefully ill be ok for SES on Saturday. Beautiful day, hope everyone had a good one.

  12. When a subject of a criminal investigation dies, chargeable case or not, case is closed. If the subject is found guilty at trial, and dies before sentencing, case is closed. Unfortunately that's how the justice system works.

    Yo Lci!!

Any LCI planning on Lovey this Sunday? I'm planning on a little pre-SES tuneup.
  14. bj, Anything specific you are looking for? I'll be at SES, and im about to post to sell a set of TD2-SI's, a set of intec heels, and possibly my Donek Axxess 172 cm.
  15. Speedskating (Long and Short Track, Inline) - I've been noticing some similarities between working the crossovers in the corners as compared to carving with angulation , getting low and stacking over the carving edge, setting up the transitions, feeding the dollar (as compared to completing your push on skates by pushing forward). Using the double push technique with inline skates also has some interesting translation with the feel of the crossunder and the edge to edge transition. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/W4AwWEF2U7Q" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="390" width="480"></iframe> <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/mPkMaCzwKoI" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="390" width="480"></iframe>
  16. John, just catching up on this thread, by chance did you have an MRI done on your calf/achilles tendon? I'm assuming that an Ortho would have that done basd on your description of the incident. After reading the initial description of the injury it sounded like you tore your achilles tendon. I had done the same thing a few years back and I needed surgery to fix it. Just curious if that has been ruled out. Heal quick.
  17. Hey JP1, You didn't happen to bend it when you were in Loveland? I bent mine on a chairlift there.
  18. Yup, I also bent the stem on a chairlift. And I thought I was the only one. In my opinion, the BTS has been worth the price, was easy to install, and enhanced the other modifications I made to the boots.
  19. Worse, it's like leaving your keys in the front door.
