  4. you should rotate those highbacks parallel to the heelside edge switch up the base for a C60 (much stiffer...) and I dont think the highback locks to the base does it?
  5. This should drive the point home for the average North American commuter. I have many decks and most of my best days are on the older ones... Still cant beat the feel of a new deck...like a new car smell, it only lasts for the first few rides...
  6. + 1 on that prior I rode one last year and Its the top, for soft carve. It was a 168 24ish wide 15-17 sidecut metal(not exposed) Id try the supermodelX, I much prefered it to the supermodel for pure carving From Burton I would recomend a T6....the thing rails like no other and is the eurocarve master for me in the east, I have a 64W and love it Look at the new Salomon Burner too, nice smooth ride with a flex between the 2 supermodels but with a turnier feel thanks to a little more taper
  7. Mont Blanc le jour, St Sauveur-Avila le soir

  13. precisely, there is little i like more than a good rant, and little that irks me more than a dismissive reply to the post: some elitists view of ones superior grasp of the English language All of my hobbies forums seem to suffer the same issues CBC had show about this last week, modern ego boost go go go
  14. at the start of this thread someone kicked down a post claiming bad English a classic bash the poster not the content same tude as the internet all round bah...
  15. i have only paid extra once and that was leaving Calgary this season....17 pounds extra overall she said.....40 pounds per checked bag, 80 total ..........so at 97 i paid 42$....but i have passed free many times with way more boardbag weight....I think it has to do with how full the plane is I use a Burton wheely case in 181...all bindings off, goggles in boots, helmet packed with hat and gloves, socks with LOTS of jeans and sweatshirts on the board edges t shirts go between each board, have had too many boards topsheet scratched.
  16. frequency the snowboarders journal http://www.frqncy.com/ truly epic publication 4x a year shipped to Canada from the states +/- 100$ national geographic photo quality and paper stock made me stop buying most other snowboard mags 100 pages, 10 ads....WOW

  19. sat..... apres...no idea.... sun....the bar at Mont Blanc is big, clean and close(0 meters from the slopes) (who drives a half hour to another resort to have a beer after a day of riding) mon...ill be at the cariboo
  20. I have put 100-120 days on my last 8 pairs of malamutes my best boot. 3rd straps are a pain, with few advantages modern free ride boots and stiff bindings are plenty in fact the first 2-3 weeks in new malamutes feel stiffer than my af600 with td2 shortcut to moncton: mission is a SOFT soft boot binding....co2 c60 from Burton would be a better match or the Salomon caliber or the ride cad(with built in cant riser potential) I really like the new free ride highbacks that are stiff as steel toe to heel but have a little play side to side(torsion) personally I find most of em too stiff now and like the Salomon Relay system, am on the xlt now but prefer the thruster or the pro...the toe to heel response is the same as any modern freeride binding BUT the lateral\medial is playfull, propreoception of steering is amplified, truly a revolution to my riding went back to the caliber (C60 ish)last week and hated it
  21. I was in Whistler for the winter of 99-00. Worked as little as possible at base 2 as rental guy.
