1. Don't worry, Burton's already got you covered.
2. Not a lot of extra straps on the outside to get caught on the chairlift (or straps go inside). good hip belt that is padded, but doesn't get in the way of range of motion for riding. Built in beadless whistle on the sternum strap clip (I think some REI backpacks have this) Waterproof so the jacket inside stays dry. Discount for people on BOL.:D I don't do backcountry riding, so I only want enough space to hold a jacket or 2 and my lunch. Maybe you could have a backcountry and a resort-sized pack.I think tex was talking about microfiber (or just fleece) lining for the goggle/tech pocket.
3. That reminds me of one time when we were playing at a football game it started raining and the band director had all the woodwinds go in so their instruments wouldn't get messed up, but the brass and percussion had to stay outside in the pouring rain.
4. If by band tuba you mean sousaphone, like in marching bands, yes, along with regular concert tuba. I only play the sousaphone during football season in the "pep" band (my school is too small to have a marching band). The sousaphone is designed for the loudest, strongest sound, while the concert tuba is designed for having a "better" sound. I find that it is actually easier to play lower notes on the sousaphone, but other than that the range is about the same. Band tuba players could have a problem with concert tuba since they focus on projecting their sound more than having a dynamic range, so when they play concert pieces, they can overpower the other instruments.
5. Tuba for 6 years, trombone for 6 months. I'm supposed to be at orchestra practice tonight, but I have to study for finals...so I'm on BOL. Jazz concert last friday, brass quintet this saturday.

D-SUB banned!

D-Sub=lzrs=skeez rule=Fin=CMC!!! ahem. "just go out and riiiide, maaan."
7. LOL, the whole reason I found about these stomp pads was that I was going to buy some wax b/c I had an REI gift card. I found some Oneballjay wax, tried to order 2, but they only had 1 left also! You'd think if they only had one left they'd just let some one at the warehouse have it instead of going through all the trouble to post it on their website.
8. I love the Wii metal board... those game designers really did their homework on raceboards.
9. According to the Carver's Almanac, it was called the Monocarver, but it didn't say if it was ever imported to the U.S. or not. It also said it requires special bindings, but those just look like regular snowboard bindings to me. It is 175cm long, with a 12cm waist and 14.5m radius. That's all the Carver's Almanac has on it.
10. I really like how you can see your trench in the background. Was that on purpose or just by chance?
11. Spend all your time at work reading BOL.
12. Go to tinypic.com, click browse, then find your pictures, resize to "Message Board (640x480)", then click upload. Then there is code for messege boards in a bar on the right. Copy that and paste it into your post. Hope this helps.
13. They also have some Prior splitboards (Khyber and Backcountry) for $600.
14. For $2.83 at REI. I've read that people love these on BOL, just letting everyone know.
15. Florida is actually the flattest state in the U.S. From its lowest point (sea level) to its highest point, Britton Hill, is a whopping 345 feet above sea level. The more you know...
16. Now you can drool over it in a less sideways fashion. Nice board CK!
17. We need him to crop and rotate the picture!
18. He's too busy finishing up the first batch of TD3's too look at the forum...
19. But it is still made. So theoretically Barfoots could be made this cheap, too. I highly doubt Donek is making these if they are not making a profit on them. As for it being made "cheaper" than other Doneks, its quality is still at least good enough and possibly high quality. I have ridden one, and it did not break or get damaged, and I have never heard of anyone else breaking one on BOL, so in my books it is made good enough.
20. The Donek Pilot is cheap ($375), and Donek is a small company, so they probably don't get huge discounts for buying in bulk. Just thought I'd bring it up...
21. That switch carving is AMAZING!!! That is definitely the best I have seen. It was at high speed, those tailwhip transition things were very smooth, and they were laid out nicely. Hell, thats better than I can do going forward!
22. I was going to say the writer just mistyped a 3 instead of a 2, but maybe not... ...Or it was just a typo and in Russia, the TD1 is all they have, and he just meant the TD2? Just incase Fin needs ideas for the TD3::p - a place to hold the hex wrench on the binding. - possibly some sort of air/water -tight container for holding small nicknacks such as those "this is hardboot snowboarding" cards to give to curious onlookers, small globs of wax, or gummi (sp?) stones for deburring edges. -Infinetely adjustable cant/lift. Here is my idea for this: the base plate is a hemisphere shape, and the top plate can rotate over it in any direction (in three deminsional space). The only thing I CANT (pun intended) figure out is how to tighten it. Possibly some sort of screw type thing like on catek OS1's where you just dig a divot into the metal. -You can remove the binding with only having to unscrew the four screws on the board. The screws holes would just go through the hemisphere thing. -Custom color options on the e-rings and on all the metal pieces. Like what Catek has, except it doesn't cost any extra:D. Note to Fin: if you use any of these ideas, please send my a free pair.
23. St. Patty's day... In Red River, NM. I was the first one up the lift, first one down. Perfect groom (although there was like an inch of fresh over some parts), NO people on the trails, I got lots of cheers going under the lift, and the rest of the day was about the same. But that first run made the day for me; it was possibly the best run of my life. New Years' Eve... Spent the night in the Silverthorne Rec center (due to I-70 being closed), woke up and had about half the gym full of "refugees" sing me happy birthday (it was my birthday incase you couldn't tell:rolleyes:), got to A-basin about 9:30, it was already kind of tracked up with flat light, but that was a "breakthrough" day for me. It was the third day on my Madd 170 (my first alpine board), and I was making really tight turns, flexing the board a lot. My first day of "active" carving, I was actually flexing the board, not just leaning over and riding the sidecut. Possibly my best birthday (except for getting back to Denver at about 9pm:mad:). Good Friday... Back to spring break in Red River, I had switched to skis after breaking the cant adjuster on my boot (thats a whole different story...), and was starting to really carve the skiis. I much different experience than carving on a board. I went a lot faster, but that might be just because I wasn't cranking my turns very tight yet. For my third day on skis, I would say it was pretty good.
24. Does any one know of any good videos with snowboarders riding moguls? Are there any videos of hardbooters doing moguls? Here's the best one I could find on youtube: p.s. thanks for those drills snowghost. I have been trying to become a more versatile rider, and will definately try some of these drills next season. p.p.s. 100th post!
25. He must be too busy riding (and calculating) to post on the forums!!!:D
