  1. Just use a gummi stone. It wont file the edges down, doesnt change edge angles and can be used without a guide. Easy.
  2. chooblaykhan, I am talking about the disks in the middle of the bindings. The one you use to attach the bindings to the board and adjust the angles. I mentioned cant in my original post as the rear 3d binding disk is shifted about 22deg to account for the way the disk is mounted.
  3. Want to Buy: Im sure someone has one lying around somewhere. I'm just looking for a burton 3 hole binding disk. If you have the cant shifted version, that would actually be preferred. Please let me know. Thanks!!

    Insoles?

I got a pair of superfeet Korks done a few weeks ago. They seem to do the trick pretty well as I needed molding on the front part of my foot as well as the full arch/heel. I am curious to see how much life I can expect to get out of a pair like this.
  5. Arvin (Lonerider = arvin right?), Go ahead and get the SI's. They are WAY more convenient than clip ins and you've already invested in the heels, so you might as well utilize them. Using the Madd + TD2 SI's in tahoe conditions will be an excellent combo, and I'm certain it wont be too stiff, especially since you wont be charging the gates in that gear. Besides, stiff gear in relatively soft sierra conditions is a good match.
  6. Well some airlines can be pretty anal about their weight and dimension restrictions, as well as the fact its a snowboard and not skis. Depending on the trip I've found it easier to just ship my equipment ahead to where I'm going if there is a willing recepient :)
  7. Hey Fin/Michelle, Are you guys going to allow us to ship you guys our equipment in advance to avoid airline hassles again this year? Thanks, Neil
  8. Only the main logde side of the mountain is open until thanksgiving unfortunately. I do miss some of the great runs on the other sides of the mtn. It really isnt all to hard to find the carvers on the mountain as you can see almost all of the runs from the lifts. Correction: they recently announced that the rest of the mountain opens a week BEFORE thanksgiving now. :D
  9. With luck, I too should be up there this weekend. I ran into a carver last weekend in the zero visibility conditions on Sunday, top of chair 2. Was that anyone on this board? Hey Ray, are you the one who knows Cordy at Footloose? He mentioned your name this past weekend when I had some footbeds molded.
  10. Thomas, I'll keep an eye out for you. With the mountain only partially open, we'll probably find all of the other carvers on the mtn no problem. Jim: You got that right about June. I love carving there. Impeccably groomed, perfect pitches, and zero crowds!
  11. It does look like we're getting a bit of a warming trend. I'll be heading up this weekend. Anyone joining me? Has the grooming improved at all lately?
  12. Bordy has written up another excellent review. Check it out: http://www.hardbooter.com/articles.php?id=26 I can't wait for my Madds to arrive! They should be here very soon. :D
  13. Sic, I never heard back from you when I emailed you through bomber, I'm ready to take that Incline off of your hands. Please contact me if you read this. Thanks!
  14. Has anyone tried carving on skiboards/snowblades? This past weekend I saw someone really carving it up on a pair of these and it looked pretty effortless. Any thoughts/opinions?
  15. Ah, i was just there this past weekend and yeah it was amazing =) Sat was perfect hero snow grooming and sunday was chunky fresh powder. I do have lodging arranged for this weekend but I'm not sure if I have the time to head up. I'll let you know if I can make it!
  16. Hi all, I'm sure someone has a pair of small or small/medium strap bindings stashed away in a closet somewhere. I'm looking for a pair for my girl. Anyone? Let me know. Thanks!
  17. Steve, That there is Mr. Doug Dryer isn't it? Sure is a nice fence he has there. ;)
  18. Hey NMU Boarder, What year is that 159 FP? I didnt know Burton made an FP that short that had a GS-ish sidecut.
  19. It is confirmed. I am going this weekend, carving on Sat and sunday. It'll probably be an AM board weekend for me (burton coil), but if the base is really as good as they say, the Donek FC179 may come out to play. Who's joining me? Ray? OVR? D-sub? Randy??:p Let me know!! :D
  20. Neil, Yeah I'll resort to that if no one responds. I figured I might as well try and ask. A lot of carvers seem to be packrats with their gear and might have had some extras lying around. Nice name by the way :D , Neil
  21. Sic, I have a friend who is interested. I'll email you.
  22. Hugh, Yup, this is for freerides. The size of the discs are the same between recent Olympics and the Freerides right? I wonder why the freeride discs arent drilled for both hole patterns.
  23. From the official website: Greetings Skiers and Snowboarders! An early season storm has kept the snow coming, with 12-16 more inches at the Main Lodge overnight. Mammoth Mountain will open this Thursday, October 21 on a base depth of 3-4 feet. This marks our earliest opening in 10 years, a full three weeks prior to the scheduled opening of November 11. Wind and weather permitting, Broadway Express and Discovery Chair will open Thursday allowing access to 5 trails. More lifts and terrain are expected for the weekend. ---------------------------- Thats way more base than SoCal mtns get mid season! :D
  24. Hey Sean, When are you putting the 05 changes to the website up? I'm curious about the new models you are introducing. Regards, Neil
  25. OVR: hahah true, he did torture us with those pictures recently. We'll show him, lets go carve our own trenches starting thursday :)
