  1. Well it looks like light rain Tomorrow. I'll make it up around 9:30. Karlen Let me know if you are still going. 6two6seven33oneone28
  2. Sounds good Aaron. I'll see you guys up there Karlen, hope you can make it. What route do you take to get to Summit? You may be going past my house.
  3. Hey Aaron I'm going to Summit next Thursday the 22nd and maybe a few other times this year. Looking forward to seeing you on a board again.

  5. Mine arrived today. Awesome build quality.
  6. I only had a few runs on the MK, but I knew I wanted one after the 1st turn. Here are the photos that should have been in my last post
  7. The MK was awesome! One thing that was interesting was that it seemed to work over a large weight range, I'm 135lbs and others were around 180lbs and we all loved it. The MK has a wider nose, less camber and more grip. I think the 158 may go edge to edge quicker but the MK edge hold made it easier to ride. This board is going to be my quiver killer. Pictures next to my 158 Madd reissue.
  8. I didn't ride lance's 163 SG, it looked like it worked well. I rode Joe's Coiler AM 174 and liked that a lot also.
  9. Hi Erwin Yes and it was awesome. It worked better than my 158 reissue. It has a deeper sidecut with a wider nose than the MADD and the same width waist and tail. Everyone I saw ride it was better on it than their own board. I don't know what weight range it was made for but the other riders weigh at least 50lbs more than me. The MK has a lot less camber than my MADD also. The MK was easy to ride but the MADD was better and quicker at tight slalom type fall line turns. My Madds edges haven't been pro tuned since you had it so that is a factor also, but it never carved turns like the MK, even when I 1st got it, also the Madd is around 10-12 yrs old. I want an MK really bad now! I didn't get a chance to take it up to Deer bowl but have no doubt that it would have excelled. There should be some photos of it in action. If I buy one I'll let you try it on Geronimo next year
  10. I will be there too! At least for Saturday. I know most have a pass but will there be a group rate for lift tickets like in the past? We can compare the MK to my 158 reissue.
  11. Hey Aaron I think everyone still knows you! I'll post here my next Summit trip, maybe Super Bowl Sunday. Thanks for saying Happy Birthday by the way.
  12. Yeah Goldrush is fun. Is Sundance open? It's the best carving steep run, it's wide and a bit steeper than the bottom of Goldrush but there is less traffic so the snow stays better. See you up there maybe next time. Have fun up in Mammoth.
  13. Have fun Erwin! lots of powder up there!
  14. Yeah it's the 1st time in 2.5 years. It will be good to have a long run open with no features at MH again. I'm planning on going up Monday the 11th in the morning if you want to go. Let me know how it is.
  15. Thanks everyone for the links and all the info. I will see how it goes. The Snow is probably better than in Southern California!
  16. Thanks that is great info. I know the coverage will be thin. On Monday it will be 50Deg F. I hope to ride 2 days.
  17. Yes we will! We land there at 7am. Is Munich a better bet for renting?
  18. I'll be in Garmisch next week and I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that rented carving boards there. I don't see anything but softboot boards. I haven't been in softies or on Skis for years but I may be doing that if I can't rent a carving board.
  19. Thanks Lance. Hoping for good conditions.
  20. Going up for the day for my annual free lift ticket. If anyone is going let me know, ll be there early and riding chair 1 then 7 when it opens. All black jacket and pants and blue and white helmet and the only Madd 158 on the mountain.
  21. I'll be there Lance. Thanks for the invite. My Madd's rounded edges need this!
  22. I'll be there Sunday till at least 1.
