  1. Dream team indeed! Way cool. More pics like this please. I have no idea about the names but I'd like to try the short one and the skinny (Virus?) one.
  2. Not on this one but I think they could make one with a decambered nose. You would have to ask Chad at Coda.
  3. I sometimes go there. I didn't last go year but I may go this year. I'd go back to Slide Peak and ride for most of the day because of the lack of crowds there (bump riding and steeps, not carving). Post on BOL when you are going up. I think all the local resorts are going to be really good after this week.
  4. Hans It has 2cm of camber. It just looks like more from certain angles. Like these pictures.
  5. Coda Sidecarve,just arrived last week. 170cm 19.5cm 10m
  6. Aaron: It's just a standard VO sidecarve. I really liked the old proto that I demoed, so since I'm cheap I got the standard one. This thing has a ton of camber so it should be fun and have more pop than the demo. The text says "#9022-VO Sidecarve handcrafted in the USA for George S~~~" Andrea: I'm going to try to get a better picture to post on the board porn thread. Loc: I just may make it up to June or Mammoth to try it in powder next week. Albert: you can demo mine at JPCMS!
  7. I couldn't resist! Even my wife thinks the Coda is cool! I'll be riding this at JPMCS.
  8. What day can Kerry make it? Kerry you out there?
  9. Wow I hate when that happens! Sorry to hear about that. There were more rocks over on Sundance so I had to watch out. I didn't see any on goldrush but I guess they get exposed as the snow gets chewed up later in the day. Have fun up at June, your video makes me wish I was there.
  10. I'm up for any Sunday after the 17th but not MLK weekend! Julian looks like you need to add Feb 7th to the poll.
  11. Luca Watch the So Cal ride board because late in January we will have a larger get together at Snow Summit on a Sunday. Contrary to popular belief Sundays are not very crowded especially on chair 7 where we mostly ride. Last Sunday was great, video is here http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=27904&page=2
  12. Loc, I will be up there after all, so see you there. Look for a red jacket and a silver board.
  13. I don't think I can make it but if my other plans fall through, I'll be there. Loc, take her to the top at the east resort. At the top is the Discovery chair, and a uncrowded beginner run called Sunset. She can download on the Quad to get back to the bottom. Sunset will be less crowded and groomed better than the beginner runs at the west resort. Sunset is also a good warmup run for carving, I usually do a few runs there first thing in the morning. The Snowflake lift at west runs slower though. Watch the tail of that new Coiler in the lift line if you go to west, lots of kids like to get too close in the lift lines.
  14. I also got a chance to try out the Coda V-O Sidecarve(3 yr old proto). I'm 125lb 5'7"(lightest of our group to try the Coda). My boards that I have been on this season are a F2 Silberfiel, a Madd 158(newer one), and a Generics 156. Besides looking cool the Coda just works. The tail had incredible edge hold that made it feel like I was riding on hero snow all the time, It made riding on hard snow easy. I switched to my Generics at about 10:30 and found the snow not too forgiving and I had to work much harder on my turns. The Coda is not as fast edge to edge as the Madd and may have a little less pop but works better on hard snow. It was fun with 3 or 4 of us on these boards in the lift lines. I may have to be one of the 1st to buy one of these! Thanks again Chad!
  15. My extra boots are probably too small(10.5 shoe)but I will bring them anyway if someone wants to demo stuff. Albert, I'm packing some poles you can use if you need them.
  16. I've met 3 girl alpine riders. One was on at Summit on a 4wd with plate bindings, another rides at Summit a few times a year midweek(airline employee from Tahitii!) and I just met one at MH and she may show up at the next big Sunday at Summit we have(25th?). I agree about Mountain high east. Man, they put all those features down the left side where the best lines are! Now I sometimes find myself in the air on my backside turns! I stuck to the Sundance last time for the best carving, especially the bottom. Come on Theo, Sunday will be fun, plus you can demo a Coda board!
  17. I have a wide foot also and after paying to get my liners molded and still having the toes be too tight I decided to DIY. I saw my teenage daughter using a toe divider thing that girls use for painting their nails and I said give me that! I used the divider and a toe cap plus my sock and this gave me enough room when I molded the liners. This was on a 225T.
  18. Merry Christmas to you too Aaron, have fun on the Coda boards, maybe next time for me. Careful with those toboggans Terry!
  19. I'll be riding at Summit on monday, will any of you weekday riders be there? Aaron, Terry, Dennis, Don and Rick, etc? I'm hoping the Christmas crowds won't be there yet.
  20. Sounds like you may have been riding Goldrush today! I'm sort of conflicted about cold weather. On one hand I want it to stay cold enough to snow every time we get a winter storm, but it gets too cold in my shop to work sometimes. We are fortunate to be riding at all in November and early December, I think the resorts in the midwest and east are just opening now. Hey doesn't Summit still hand out trash bags to put on as raincoats?
  21. There was hero snow at Mt High a few days ago but the crowd was terrible. I didn't have the time to get up to Summit but I'm sure the lines would have been shorter. Hey Terry I met a patroller candidate up at Mt High named Larry(I think) who said he knows you.
  22. I may be able to come up on Sat. May even try out the SL, I've been wanting to try to race again for a long time. I don't like the features on the runs but it should be better now with more of the mountain open.
  23. I was there last Friday night for a few hours. I can't seem to get away much or else I would have gone up more. When are you guys going, at night? It's looking better up there, I predict east will open next week. I may go up this Friday night around 5pm but this weekend I'm booked. Are you going up Saturday?
  24. Last year at Mt High here near LA I recieved some interesting comments among the "what's that" comments. The best was when I was in the parking lot talking the some people who asked me about my board and the one guy turns to the other and says "Dude he's got suspension on his boots"(BTS). They thought all my stuff was cool! I've met a few people at Mammoth riding soft boots who said they were going to try hard boots soon.
