  1. Bordy, You get what you deserve because of your i have done it/seen it/ know it all ( 10 years ago) attitude. Posting that video would sure shut me up though :D And i'll buy you a beer to boot.
  2. mrdogboy, Actually i am getting the exact response i wanted ;)
  3. To sum up this thread: (dude #1) Doesn't this look cool? (dude #2) That's cool i wish i could do that ( pissed off wanna be/racer dude) You guys are children, we did this easy stuff in the nineties and have moved on to more adult pursuits ( Euro guy) Yeah? put up or shut up (dude #1) Doesn't this look cool? (dude #2) that's cool i wish i could do that ( pissed off wanna be/racer dude) I'm outta here , you guys obviously don't have the sense of history to appreciate carving. leaving still without any past/present/future proof of linking laid out turns>
  4. I remember seeing this "Boon" sliding device in a ski magazine. Seemed to me at the time that this looked like a crutch for people who hadn't learned to ride properly. Can you imagine the sh_t you'd get if you showed up on the hill with sliders on your hands?:D
  5. Philfell, What i said stands, it is not the same thing. They are NOT laid out.Not even close. No disrespect to a cool carving video, but a different thing altogether.
  6. Proof Bordy, i want proof. I have some of the old purecarve videos and let me tell you it's not the same thing.
  7. Probably not Tim, i'll try to catch you some other time. Have fun in aspen. James
  8. Hey Tim, Me and the wife will be at mammoth feb. 7-11. a couple of tahoe carvers will also be there the later half of the week. We would love to ride with you again. James Ong
  9. Ajax kicks ass !! Of all the Aspen mountains this one probably has the highest percentage of steep groomers.
  10. I just got a couple of cheapo (25$ a pair with charger) cobra frs/ gmrs radios from wallyworld, not bad for the price and worked good on the hill.
  11. Anyone here have experience with this board? The split tail is interesting, please chime in .
  12. Whats the idea behind the split (?) tail for powder , and what are the specs of the board? Sounds like a cool setup though. Why are you done for the season Randy? James
  13. How would an ideal powder board be set up with regards to stiffness? Would you want it softer in the middle to improve manuverability in the trees? Softer in the nose to improve floatation? Some of the all mountain boards offered look good to me but i don't really need this one to carve well. On the other hand a stiffer board would be nice for blasting through the crud when everything is skied ( boarded) out. James:confused:
