  1. hey! if it's not more than expectet from the doc, it is realistic. don't panic before you know exactly what's up with the meniscus...they do this everyday. try to keep your muscels as fit (maybe you have a stationary bicycle trainer) as possible makes you even easier to recover. mostly after surgery there is some strange feeling, but everyone gets used to that and you will be back on the track soon:biggthump all the best mate!
  2. ...lucky guy, your season has started now... we have around 12 degrees C everyday now and no snow anywhere...
  3. the ride is more comfy. the boot can flex more through the links than with deforming the shell. result is: better edgegrip because a smoother ride. less leg fatigue because of a less bumpy ride. this is shortly how i feel the bts-ride:biggthump ride on!
  4. besides the helmet i always wear forearm/elbow guards. isn't very good for the outerlayer but saves from icy 'bubbles' that are sticking out of the slope and give some blue and green 'friends' on my arms;) and makes me feel more secure when i'm carving on really hardpacked...
  5. ..couln't go with a fullface. always touch the slope with the chinguard on steeper slopes when i'm going deep...and this brings the rest of the head way fast to the groudn too:nono:. nothing for me...even when it looks so cool, compared to a 'normal' one:cool:
  6. ..did a few runs on the carveboard...way too warm and no snow around.. but it makes some fun:biggthump http://video.google.de/videoplay?docid=-5935117016192197789 very bad quality, i know:barf:
  7. ok! we should be online there i think...would be nice if there really are some hb's around:biggthump
  8. hi allee, sounds good! i don't know if there many hardbooters are showing up, in case of not we shurly will notice eachother on the slopes
  9. yes, we will be there around the end of january. we don't know the exact date so far, we will be on a road trip then... CU there:biggthump
  10. a pair dainese 'new anchorage pant' with some nice padding. hope they don't wear as fast as others...
  11. ok! i'm the guy wearing a 'goat-style' beard and running a copper colored virus gladiator with my name on it looking forward to meet you!
  12. anyone in banff area around x-mas/new year? we arrive dec25 and stay till jan2...
  13. i'll be there somewhere in middle of january.
  14. hey! you don't need a flow boot. it just had to fit well at the heel, the rest should fit anyway.
  15. very easy for me to vote for my girl; she's simply the best for me:1luvu: ... the fact i'm out of order now to get my knee fixed and will be a few days at home, probably makes it easier for her to let me go in the future:eplus2:
  16. ..tore a meniscus on a 'hike-a-board'. get it fixed on april 13th. wish you all a safe end of season guys!
  17. the session is april, the 1.+2. as you all know, **** happens. so now to me, i have to go make an MRI once again on my knee. checking the meniscus... maybe i could not make it to davos...
  18. lex, near aarau. was just in tschiertschen! they have the best snow by far for the last 30 years... what about the session in davos?
  19. lex, where you're from? mabe we could meet somewhere? check the date of the pureboarding carving session in april in davos. i'm pretty shure you could learn something there. keep the thing going on!
  20. don't forget to check carveboard.com aswell! this board is the ultimate summer-snowboard for me. not really fast but you really need the technical skills from snowboarding and the fun it brings is awsome everytime i set my foots on my deck. you can play with the airpressure in the tires to get the ultimate grip on every surface or every kind of pavement you chose.
  21. ..the doc just took a fair amount of fluid out of my knee. feels a lot better now!i hope to be back on the track next week, 5 days ripping in the french alps:biggthump
  22. i'm going for ther valdez too:biggthump thx guys
  23. ACL, MCL and both meniscus. putted some hard work after ops on me and went back on the mtb marathon racetrack same year. it's a disciplin thing i think, as long as the doctors do a good job. unfortunately, now 4 years after i have to go today to my doctor and show him the same knee wich looks like a coconut since last sunday:mad: after a snowboard-hike 2 1/2 hours up a mountain there was something wrong and the following ride didn't made the fun it should...
  24. give more pressure on the nose when you start the turn, rotate your hips the same your shoulders should and watch up the mountain. this always helped my scoolers.
  25. nice reviews guys! thanks a lot. found a snowmobilpant from dainese in a katalog, anyone knows them? light padding where it could count and a nice kneebend.
