Art
Looks like they have a gymnastics background but appearently this is becoming quite a thing in the states too. Threre was an article in the Seattle Times a few weeks ago about it. Looks like a gret way to blow off steam but Ill stick to the bike with a beer chaser. My bones are too brittle for such youthful shenannigans
Tommy D
It is called Parkour, or Free Running. Check it out: http://www.parkour.com http://www.urbanfreeflow.com/ It's some really cool stuff, and awesome to watch. Not for this country boy; I'll stick with anything that I can carve turns with. :D
NateW
Sometimes I can't help but jump onto/over/off-or a bench or whatever when I am walking around sans skateboard. Maybe people will snicker less if I work some backflips into my routine.... :) Except that I will never, ever do a backflip from anything but a diving board. I am pretty sure that I missed the window of opportunity for learning such things. That flat-ground flip/twist/rodeo thing that guy does in the video above is frickin amazing though. Jack M
Did I wake up this morning in a parallel universe where gymnastics is cool? Actually some friends and I invented this sport 10 years ago in college. We called it "Extreme Walking". But it was just a gag. These guys are much better. Derf
You just need to rent the French movie Yamakasi and you'll see plenty. The plot of the movie is not really good, but the action is awesome.

jkallinen
Ah, to be 18 and invincible once more... How true, I get stiff watching those guys. To try that now I would seriously hurt myself, and then the wife would make it even worse by telling me your to old to be doing this anymore.
kjl
Did I wake up this morning in a parallel universe where gymnastics is cool? Hehe, gymnastics have always been cool, as long as they were properly disguised as breakdancing or kung fu movies ;)
skatha
I see this being helpful to 1. run away from the cops 2. stunts in movies 3. enrich some orthopod with your fracture care-and let's not forget those lumbar disc herniations... I love the Oscar quality production of the video tho
