They have a ski museum at the Utah Olympic Park with a few snowboarding displays… The Burton Megaflex was Wolfgang Aigner’s first major project with Jake Burton Carpenter. The name was Jake’s idea. It’s a good museum. The historical ski photos are amazing. (One of our retailers just sold a pair of UPZ ski boots to a guy who was on Stein Eriksen’s team.) If you are looking for a field trip up a cool canyon, the Brighton resort base lodge has a chronological display on the wall that’s darn good too. (Photo attached.). Have fun in PC and enjoy today’s snowflakes.
Jack M
I loved my Megaflexes. They were a revelation after suffering in Rossi ski boots. I’ve seen that display at Brighton!
philw
In Europe Burton stuff was very expensive comparatively, so I bought the [less trendy] UPZ equivalent boot, which had the same colour scheme. Second best I was sure... but one of those manufacturers is still in the game, the other quit early.
UPZ North America
The Park City Museum on Main Street is also great for ski and snowboard memorabilia. It has a small storefront and is easy to miss, but well worth a trip. Photo of display is about Park City’s first snowboard rental shop that opened in 1982.
