pmorita
Just saw that Burton added this new high back wing to the mission binding. I remember this in the early 80s. What's next, a third strap?
west carven
howdy i am thinking of getting one of these... my only concern is the height of the high back, seems low... a taller high back would be better... the wing would support higher angles for the front foot... flux also has one... what is old is new again... ibrussell
Hey I have a set 90's Burton Torque
west carven
howdy ibrussell if you are trying to sell it... buyer beware this is nearly 30 years old plastic... the idea of a third strap is a good one for carving... how lazy you got to be to have a step-on... vid from ryan from 2015... ibrussell
Not selling use on my split. Replaced ratchet straps five years ago & always stored inside. I think Ryan could break most new bindings too.
snowburn
I chucked mine a few years ago. Rode mine all the way up around 2006. Loved mine until going HB. I strapped mine so tight I had to loosen front foot every time on the chair. I would go back to a SB set up if I had a third strap again for the deep powder days
st_lupo
NOOBS! You all need to get Burton Flex bindings in your lives and it shows!
ShortcutToMoncton
I had two sets of Burton Torques from about ‘94 to ‘02, I think I sold them. Cracked the rear high back on the first pair and Burton gave me another set. I was just a teenager. I don’t understand why anyone would like them. They were too restrictive for off-piste soft booting or getting any air, but too flexy and not nearly as good as hard boots for pure carving. Always thought they were pretty much a no man’s land product. If I’m wearing soft boots I’d rather carve in a stiff two-strap binding any day and still be able to go off trail.
Spiny Norman
I have saved the PowerWings from my original Mission GT Si's from back in the day. I graft them on to whatever binding i'm using at the time.
