Dan
So...this is a backup board to the 4807 that I currently use as my "big pow day" board. I'm moving to Seattle for work and will probably be in an apartment, so no room to spare for "I'm gonna ride that...one day" even though it's my favorite topsheet ever. It's NOS and has never been mounted though it has a bit of shop wear. Looking for $350 plus shipping.
Jon Dahl
I can't believe someone hasn't grabbed this!
BlueB
Me neither! Forget the modern midget-swallow shapes. This is the real board!
b0ardski
If you still have it when I get back to work in a couple months...
Jon Dahl
When's the big move? Am I gonna have to do a board "rescue"??
BlueB
Still no takers? Here's even bigger "cold smoke"
Jon Dahl
Hey, BlueB, how are the noses on these? I've heard they are fragile. I had been considering the new Nitro swallow tail but these have always appealed to me. Your input would be appreciated.
BlueB
The nose is softer then the tail, on both 4807 and 3800. They like to be ridden balanced in the centre and finish the turn of the back foot. I had mine for about 15 years and rode it in a variety of conditions in the beginning, nowadays only in pow. No problems with the nose. Same with Scoobie.
wjholm
Is this still available?
Dan
Sorry for the slow response, I completely missed the conversation on this board back in March! It's still available...the move is postponed to "when the current epidemic is no longer a problem," so who knows when that will be, but the board is up for sale regardless.
