ExcelsiorTheFathead
I was watching some ski racing on TV and saw an airbag deployment. I guess this is a thing now. Should we all get them instead of wearing football pads? Edited January 16, 2016 by ExcelsiorTheFathead
scrutton
That's subtle.
Beckmann AG
Loaded Camelbak works reasonably well for that purpose. Jacket gets damp though.
lowrider
After a spill like that probably more than a damp jacket.Local bump now has safety netting on 5 degree beginners run used in morning race camps the rest of the time it's used mostly for ski lessons and no netting. Looks like the pinot moms bubble society is firmly expanding it's influence. Break away gates shin guards wrist guards back protector's boot warmers helmets speed suits racing poles (the bent ones) and race skis. For 6 year olds ! Allee
This was on Powder's FB feed today ... http://www.powder.com/stories/news/inflategate/?sf19167849=1#KHcbE5VYFMmZx0hz.97 Some good points raised, but I guess in the end we don't know what sort of injuries he would have sustained without it. As the article pointed out, D-Air is tried and tested in high level motorcycle racing, and applauded there. I guess in the same way that people still get killed in car crashes with airbags, people are still going to get hurt going 100mph in spandex. or leather, it's pretty much all luck of the draw.
