Ask this question again in 3 years and you will probably get a different answer than today. Three years ago different again. In my opinion it will depend a lot on the board ie;  type of construction, builder and specs of the board and your style of riding. Try before you buy will be a challenge in your location but getting advice on a custom board from the actual builder is free. The Bomber store will have boards and advice and demos so you can't go wrong with a direct call or email. Tell us more about your present ride nose, tail side cut etc and I'm sure you will get a year end review of where you have gone wrong and where you should be looking to get the perfect board (if it exists).  Good Luck !

Longer sidecut radius really needs longer running edge, so the answer should be pretty easy for you to figure out, just by thinking about turn radius. If at GS speeds you hammer an edge, while trying to stay early, does it hook you into the gate? Do you have to center the turn right on the gate or risk getting way above the line? If yes to either then longer sidecut will really help, and you can start by looking at some of the boards the FIS women are using - maybe find a year-old board with some edge left to start. In your shoes I’d look at something 175ish. Don’t worry about it running you into the woods - longer boards are actually much easier to control than shorter at racing speeds.

Any other background information that has you thinking your 153 isn't up to the task?

Tip/Lip proximity might be a useful metric in some circumstances, but not so much for board selection.

The handling characteristics while in the course would be more helpful.

E.g., does it flap and stammer at speed like a cornered right-wing radio host?
