dangerboy
6" new at Meadows today... I'm going to try and make Friday happen. If it stays cold, could be the best carving snow ever!!! They'll have three days to lay it down smooth with no real traffic... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Caulky and cold early !P1060444.jpg Cool shot , shows the wind rows up on the top half of the Palmer. Helps catch the wind loaded snow to add depth. dangerboy
Today looks warm. I'm planning on riding tomorrow, I'll be up early. If tonight is cold, could be a bit hard in the am... Hopefully they salt and groom, salt and groom... P.S. I'll bring the beers this time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
www.oldsnowboards.com
Sounds like a plan Steve, I am working on the truck today to see if I can get it running better. dangerboy
Looks like we're going to be back to same conditions as last Friday. Temps are holding at mid 50's. Loosing about an inch an hour at base. http://www.nwac.us/weatherdata/mthoodmeadows/10day/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
www.oldsnowboards.com
Let's hope it get fairly cold overnight? Just finished work on the truck , headed out for a test drive, I think it is on the mend. Next, warm wax on a few boards and the skis just in case!! www.oldsnowboards.com
Good fun on what was probably my last day. FOUR alpine riders in total , that is a big day at MHM this season. Pretty good conditions early, very warm and turn to slush by noon. Bright sun and some occasional good carving.
www.oldsnowboards.com
Rough season here in the PNW. Some data that does a good job of spelling out just how bad it was.
slopestar
Painful. My retirement plan has me in Oregon in about 4 years. Need to find a solid part time job as long as the sock company goes as planned. Buy my socks... So I can live in a modest house in PDX. Surf in the summer and ride all winter... Do you have a link to your socks? Might consider buying your home here sooner than later? Prices are on the rebound big time!
slopestar
Launch in August. Eekoe Great product! Anti fungal/anti microbial/moisture wicking/gets softer every time you wash it/lasts twice as long as cotton/wear them days in a row and won't stink... Eric
It will get interesting this summer. Current coverage looks more like late-June than mid-May. Runs can still be made down the Mile, but the last 50' or so must be done on foot. Some other runs terminate higher up with no warning. The main snowfield looks fairly healthy, and I suspect the Westernmost lanes should last the summer.
www.oldsnowboards.com
Wow! Thanks for the Timberline Update Eric! This is in keeping with what I found last week on the final days at Mt Bachelor also. Rough season all around the Northwest for sure. Jon Dahl
Is it worth trying to go there this coming weekend? Just exploring my options...jonesing for a few more turns.
www.oldsnowboards.com
FYI, this post is in regards to Timberline Ski area, NOT MHM (more folks are "suscribed" to this ride board. ) Jon, I have not talked to anyone else that has been up recently. I would think of it as "Would I be willing to go up in late June?" Bryan
www.oldsnowboards.com
Off topic , related by the fact that Kurt Heine (long time Mt Hood Local Pro / Videographer) was one of the guys behind the camera. Additionally , one of the young riders , Ben , is from Mt Bachelor. Just released. https://www.redbull.com/us/en/snow/video-series/1331628644234/pat-moore-blueprint
Keenan
Wow, he grew up at Mt. Bachelor where "there's not a park in site". It must be difficult riding with a blindfold on. …Cool video though Bryan.
www.oldsnowboards.com
Yes, I thought the comment was interesting too. Seems like a very down to earth guy , happy to be "living the life".
Jon Dahl
Rode Timberline today. They were downloading on the chair to get off the mountain. No way to ride all the way down. Snow was fairly good up high, super fast early then softened up some. Ran into Mark Fawcett in the tune center, what a down to earth guy! He was coaching a amputee rider and doing all sorts of trick stuff for him. Done for the year now!
