I was going to ride today. But kid woke up puking last night. So I'm using my sick day for sick. I'm thinking of tomorrow (Fri). But honestly, today is the day. I don't expect tomorrow to be as good. I'll see what I can do to block off Thursday and Friday... So, this is Meadow's last week of mid-week lifts? Might need to switch over to Timberline if they get more snow next week?

I need to adjust my 'sick' day to Thursday this week instead of tomorrow (Tuesday). I've got early morning meetings scheduled for both Tuesday and Wednesday that I need to make happen. I can't really justify pushing them out unless we see something epic happen overnight, which is doubtful. I think Thursday is looking good... Temps should stay cold and we may even see a few more inches?

Rode today. First few runs were on skis. Groomers did a good job with the fresh snow, very carvable. Ran back to car and grabbed 182 F2 (2002) for a few runs... Wow... I really love my Kessler. The F2 is smooth but you've really got to get in and get out of turns... Could be the size/ sidecut both bigger than my ego is. Ran back and grabbed the 168 Rossi Throttle (1995). Still a great board! I was happy it wasn't the Kessler as a few trenches hit dirt! I had to double check, snow was only a few inches deep and trench really did hit dirt! Lucky just a bit of edge damage. I'll be able to tune it out... All in all, fun casual day. Temp said 32, felt like 52 with sun and no wind... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I like how the temps look to stay cold for at least the next 7 days... If they get a foot of snow this week, then by next week it will be nicely groomed for possibly some HERO carving conditions?!!! I'm looking at next Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday... Maybe Tuesday because the Groomers always seem to have a bad case of the 'Mondays'... Wednesday may be too late? I already put the boards up for the season... but I guess I better get them back down... Murphy's Law in effect...

how is it up on the hill? I assume that snow is not very good for race-board carving today? Probably a decent soft boot day?

I never made it up higher than base... I was with my 3 yr old... I saw photos from Grant that made Cascade look like it was doing better. Have you seen how and where the new Cascade freestyle park sits?... they might be eating into valuable carvable space?

skjalf, Welcome to the forum! You are in the right place... The best part of being a hard booter is the instant kinship with other hard booters... I was also returning into service with old boards... Which worked great... But the design of the new boards will really blow your mind. Get your legs back, and start saving for some new boots, then a new board... cool,
