Beard 3000
Greetings from C.Asia . My friend TLN gave me the idea - to do design for snowboards. (I'm a designer, but never did it before.) Here are some sketches, if you're interested - let me know.
Jack M
Not bad, but this is a more adult-minded forum, dedicated to alpine snowboarding in hardboots with race-derived boards. lowrider
Beard 3000: A more helpful impression of what Alpine Snowboarding is all about would be better understood if you looked at the" New Board Porn" thread it's exactly what it says but not exactly what you imagine. The thread is filled with images of new boards some with top sheets designed by the owners.
Unicorn Poop
With alpine snowboarding, the artwork is not on the boards, but on the snow.
Steve Prokopiw
Hey Beard,as an art lover,I think it's all good.As much as we wonder what it would take to get young people into the sport,I can only imagine what comments I would get from the jibber crowd if my 210 was covered in Zombies. Beard 3000
ok tnx! I'll check it out and make some more...
Steve Prokopiw
Keep in mind Beard, that what Jack said is true of the majority of hardbooters. You are definitely likely to get more positive responses on a site that has a younger crowd.

KingCrimson
Hey...they are a hell of a lot better than that effing ridiculous blood splatter Burton Speed. I would definitely be interested in a zombie topsheet if I was getting a custom board done. Especially if that pickaxe was stuck in another zombie's head. 28 Carves Later

TLN
Yea... That's graphic really sick! I've been talking about it recently. Makes me wanna put down a grand for FLC or WCRM. I'm still unsure what to choose for next board: ptex topsheet, carbonium one, or custom graphic. So i pointed bobmeronline.com to Beard 3000, he told me sometime, he'd really like to see his graphics on a board. I've seen some of his designs for bikes and guitars, and quite surprised with some of the graphics in 1st post. I'd share some, if he don't mind. Skunkape lovers gotta check other Quincy Quigg graphics :) really, you can never go wrong with zombies and their ilk (love the libtech skunk apes). i like to see (well done) fresh approaches to typically conservative alpine graphics. as much as i appreciate the stark minimalism of a black kessler, this has me wanting to buy another prior: isn't the demon weed still unlawful to use in Canada? ;) You mean better grab the board before it banned? ;) As i remeber, prior graphics typically stays on a website for two seasons. purpletiesto
You know what maybe what Beard 3000 has drafted up is exactly what the sport needs. Maybe his designs just may entice a younger audience into the sport. Perhaps a large influx is teenagers is just what we need. I have nothing against it. Beard 3000, it might be worth putting some more samples up on alpine boards, though... Might show that you've done just a bit of research into the forum. Maybe...
