Bus leaves the George Sherman union at 775 Commonwealth ave (2 blocks from Skimarket). Last year we could call to reserve tickets and drive up ourselves- so you don't even have to ride the bus and you can leave early from Western MA, Connecticut or Rhode Island for instance to go ride. (I'll post info on who to call to reserve tickets this way later.... in a few weeks. ) 15 bucks includes lift ticket and bus transportation! (also Budweiser beer specials- hats- and free lift pass giveaways) Comb your hair for once and you might get to date sexy BU coed. Tear it up! -------see info below--------- HEY EVERYONE!!! There's been such a huge interest in our trip this Wednesday that we're going to have two buses!!!! If you've signed up online you're good to go on the trip. At the end of this email you'll find a list of everyone who as signed up so far. If you still want to go we've still got some room but you'll have to sign up ASAP. There's currently 85 people signed up and we've got space for 110 on the buses. If you are on the list and can't go, please just email us back letting us know you can't go. If you haven't signed up and want to do so please visit this website http://people.bu.edu/skiclub/wach/info.htm and signup. Please be aware that if you signup too late the trip may be full in which case we'll see if anyone doesn't show to get you on the bus. If you want to drive yourself it should still be OK, we're waiting on confirmation from WBCN that we can still do that but if you want to drive yourself you need to email us and tell us your name and that you want to drive up and we'll email you details as soon as we hear back from WBCN. (If worst comes to worst you'll just have to wait for our bus to get there and get your tickets with us). Future singups will have a way to select self drive or bus. Besides- the slopes are less crowded before the school buses arrive. I can't make it 1/2, 9, 16 and 23 as I'll be travelling and was hoping to meet more of you "local" carvers. Bring a radio and go to 14:20. I should have brought the alpine but went with the freestyle board...good decision due to crowds. Wednesday night this week will be perfect for alpine riding...the expected snow fall should scare away all the teenagers / hacks. 8pm - 10pm is the way to go. No crowds and perfect snow... I did a tail on a 188 years ago and stupidly I sold my 197. JGU Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 Bill aka Willywhit - That's me (JGU aka Johnny) I rode with you last year - new to the true alpine scene last year - That was my third time on the alpine deck this season...I've been riding my free ride board mostly this season due to conditions. I ran into Bob from RI in the parking lot - I probably got the most runs in with him out of your crew last year...I don't even come close to you guys in the alpine skills dept. - It's official my donek 171 fc1 has become a rock board...a hack snowboarder ran into me last night taking a good chunk out of my top sheet - I think I'm going to throw my cateks on my BX board while the Donek is in "sick bay" getting repaired.
