kieran
Scott Filler's attorney said the 41-year-old father from Decatur, Ga., didn't know he was lashing out at a 14-year-old girl who, according to police, had veered to avoid another skier when she bumped into the boy.because violence toward an adult would be acceptable... trailertrash
Something is happening to todays parents to make them complete frickin morons sometimes. Is it something in the diapers or baby wipes that is killing brain cells in adults? Parents need to real in this "justification" for violence against any little thing that happens to their brat. Settling something with violence is a good lesson to teach that 4 yr old. Parent of the year!
Allee
Turns out douche in question is a rich doctor from Atlanta. That's gonna cost. I hope the kid's parents take him to the damn cleaners. You have to wonder, given that he went off on a hair trigger over someone simply bumping into his kid, what he does to his wife when she doesn't fold the washing right. Unfortunately, skiing is sometimes a contact sport. If you can't handle that, then wrap your kid in bubble wrap, take it home, and keep it there. Galen
I call BS that he didn't know it was another kid, maybe he just didn't realize it was a girl. Somehow I doubt if the offender was his size (or bigger) that he would have immediatly jumped them. Tightly wound people SUCK!

Allee, tell us how you really feel. :) I especially like the "...take IT home.." IT, being someone's kid, is hilarious (provided IT isn't my kid, of course). If he' a rich dr. then his wife d doesn't do laundry, she cheats on him with her yoga teacher, johan. And personally, I won't stand for incompetance in the laundry room. His lawyer needs to get on that, instead of that "everyone's saddened" line.
Quigley
Good thing he's a doctor... If I pulled some sh*t like that they'd send me to the state pen. HE'll get some $20,000 lawyer or whatever and the DA in Eagle County will cut a deal for probation... like the guy that ran over a biker and didn't stop except to figure out how to find the mercedes dealership to fix the dents. If I'm not wrong he was a doctor from out of state too. I guess its just another example of someone who lives by the wrong Golden rule, "He who has the Gold rules..." but I bet you are right he should get all tore up in civil court.... Whatever happens I hope he gets medication and psychiatric enema cause his head is obviously inside his colon...

If he's old, what am I (21 for the 3rd ime around)? Careful with those titles.

LOL-a "malaria specialist" in Atlanta works for the CDC.....he MAYBE makes a 6 figure salary....a teenager from Mexico skiing with an instructor is not the kid of an undocumented worker, she's the daughter of a person who probably lives in a gated villa in Mexico City and could probably buy and sell the doctor several times over. I'm not agreeing with the appropriateness of the doc's behavior but the assumptions about this guy are completely unreasonable, especially since with a little critical thinking, you could have figured out what I just mentioned yourself
