queequeg
is there anyway to put the new deeluxe buckle system on a pair of suzukas or indys? and if so does bomber sell it? I believe there were some people who did this last season, if you search a bit you might find something. Bomber sells the parts: http://www.bomberonline.com/store/boots/parts_track.cfm

pokkis
Guilty Yep i updated my Indy's and my wifes's 324's with new buckles and it was quite simple task with her boots and on my Indy's only small tinkering was with toe strap. Totally happy and boot feels much better now, and color does not suck which was main target, so no girlie color boots for me Orange looks so great on film :D Another issu really is if that make anyway economically sense due spare parts will cost quite lot. To tell secret, hssss there is two options how to do this change: 1. buy spare parts and switch them to boots, costly option 2. buy cheap pair of (new (with odd size?)) boots from ebay, take buckles from them and put your old buckles to these boots and sell them with cheap price and put new buckles to your old boots, more economical option I have done both options, these boots below is hard to find, only few pairs exist :)
carvingbassist
hmm thats pretty cool. i did the calculation and to buy new parts you are looking at around $100 or so for parts. i just was thinking about the switch cause i have had the old straps break in cold temps. are the new straps better you think? Gecko
I changed the ankle straps on my boots two seasons ago....
pokkis
I never had any other problems with old ones as snow stucking to old ones, even with some real cold weather we have here. But certainly i prefer new ones for many reasons.
leeho730
Interesting... I wanted to do the OPPOSITE! The toe buckle of new Track boots would often get in the way of toe clips (I wear size 25), so I was looking for old Deeluxe parts. Do you know any vender that may have stocks for old Deeluxe boot parts?
carvingbassist
im pretty sure bomber has all the old and new deeluxe parts. but we could do a trade? straps for buckles haha
