Moonshiner
What are the primary differences in this board and a race/carving board? Can you get this thing up on edge and rip nice carves as well as you can on a carving board? Thanks

ctrost
Moonshiner, This board will defnitely lay down some nice carves. The 11.5 sidecut makes for some sweet turns !Because of the boards width it will take a little more effort to get up on an edge than a true race board. That is why I stated that the board will perform best with a heavier rider. Thanks

Moonshiner
Thanks for the info ctrost, I would love a board that i can carve but can also sneak off into the powder or bumps with as well. I'm 220lbs, so I am looking for a board that will suit my weight. Am i correct in assuming that a wider board will carve better with a heavier rider and a thin board with a lighter rider? Thanks
lonbordin
I should have bought the whole thing this morning and risked marital :eek:. FARK! Gawd... someone sell me some decent bindings so I stop looking at all these beautiful boards... I need help.
ctrost
Mooonshiner, This board will handle all types of conditions including Powder. What I like about the board is that you can have as much fun on it in the morning on the groomers as you can in the afternoon when things get chopped up. A thinner board is more conducive to carving regardless of the rider's weight. Thanks.
Bobby Buggs
In the title you list is as AM-T. Is this a Metal or Glass construction
ctrost
Bobby, It's not a metal board. AMT is abbreviation for All Mountain. Sorry for the confusion.
D.T.
Bobby, It's not a metal board. AMT is abbreviation for All Mountain. Sorry for the confusion. with Bruce's convention: AM = All Mountain AMT = All Mountain Titanal Your board is an AM not an AMT.
ctrost
CORRECTION TO THE LISTING: The board should be listed as an AM 177, not an AMT 177. Sorry about any confusion this caused.
