pow4ever
http://www.google.com/search?complete=1&hl=en&safe=off&q=site%3Abomberonline.com+head+stratos+bts&aq=f lots of people have done it. I am think about doing the same to my HeadStratos Pro. Going to hold off on it for a while though. Still trying to figure out what work and what doesn't work for me then decide if changing it make any sense. It make the boot more flexable back and forth similar to riding in walk mode but with more progressive control. However I have seem people railing it with or without BTS... It almost make hardboot act like softboot from what I see in person. -- David
queequeg
I've got the BTS on my HSP. IMHO, to get the most out of the BTS on the HSP you need to remove some of the plastic from the inside of the HSP boot. When I originally installed my BTS in my HSP boots, the natural stiffness of the boot was an impediment to the flex characteristics that the BTS is supposed to impart. I cut a BUNCH of plastic out of my boots. And now I'm pretty happy with what I have. As far as what plastic to cut goes. See this thread: http://bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showpost.php?p=190270&postcount=9 and a bit more from me: http://bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showpost.php?p=190270&postcount=9 If you do end up cutting those wings off (something I have gotten excellent results from) make sure that you leave things nice and smooth where you cut ... I took a dremel tool to the areas around the cutting to smooth things out and reduce pressure points and fruction. Also, the silver wings can use a bt of filing down on the edges such that the inner boot doesn't get hung up on them and lock up the flex of the boot. cheers!
