hi,

i have hardboots and binding, and have tried a prior WCR and an old volkl SL - fun, but angles too extreme for my old knees.

hoping to find a fun, inexpensive board to improve my carving skills, without cranking my knees.

anyone got something appropriate for a 5'7" 175lb dood?

again, have boots and bindings, just want affordable board, delivered to maine or boston.

- Phil in Boston.

Phil - the other thing you could try is a tanker. i rode a 192 a couple of weeks ago, and was railing carves on it. here is one for sale in the classifieds now: http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=20736<http: www.bomberonline.com="" vbulletin="" showthread.php?t="20736">. if i remember correctly, that year's tankers are wider than years past, so it should work well in terms of your requirement for low angles... good luck!

+1 to Wally suggestions.

The tankers would be a good idea. The flex is nice and mellow but it can still hold an edge and is a fun board to ride. Tanker also handle plates well and its a good overall board that is a blast to ride.

The boards ending in "7" (167, 177, 187) are the wide model boards with the larger waist width usually in the 27 range.

The 192 Wally was talking about was sort-of special for Rad-Air - it was a narrow 24 waist width board. Sadly they no longer make that waist width or the 192 size.
