Burton Earth Boots

*Ace*

Recommended Posts

Rode the Freecarves, almost identical progenitors of the Earth, for probably 10+ years til weight gain/foot spread forced a change. Replaced the toe/heel pads a couple of times and and a walk mode lever once.

Wish a similar boot were still made. Closest I've come is a three-buckle AT boot.

Still have my original size 11 Freecarve shells if you want em - shipping cost only.

Good luck!

Earths had a better tongue design than the freecarves/boilers. On the earlier designs the tongue had a nasty habit of moving to the outside on your back leg - meaning the upper-instep area could contact a hard plastic edge on the shell...painful. With 4-buckle boots the tongue is held in place better - the Earths with the "wrap" style tongue are the best. GREAT bump boots - my favorite for moguls and riding stiffies in the woods.
