Gecko
I'm sad that the Giants won, that takes all the surprise out of it....Brady and company already proved that they can beat them. now the only reason that I will even watch the game is to see the history of a perfect season. I don't expect it to even be a good game
pebu
I'm with Gecko there. I'm a fan of the pack and was very upset at how they played. I think what was more upsetting was the fact that they lost, even considering how the giants played.

jtslalom
Remember, this post was created a few weeks ago. Sorry Patriot fans but the Giants won the Super Bowl. A superb defensive game by the Giants. For all the posts below that questioned the Giants ability to win, NOT!
ncermak
Gotta give credit where credit is due. The G-Men played a brilliant game. Congrats. anyone else think Brady just did not look like himself? Demeanor, Body Language, intensity? something looked off. Did he get his bell rung early? Jack M
anyone else think Brady just did not look like himself? Demeanor, Body Language, intensity? something looked off. Did he get his bell rung early? Umm.... he had no offensive line. It all just doesn't add up to me... my thoughts on that are here: http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?p=180207#post180207

He will yell at them, and talk to them on the bench. Last night he just sat alone on the bench with a blank stare. Glazed eyes. this is a guy who got in the refs eye on a missed call in a game in which they were up by more than 30 points. not a guy who ever complacently sits on the bench... Man.... maybe he threw the game??? I think highly enough of him to assume that if that were true that it was against his will - death threats, extortion, etc. I did notice a very strange look on his face as the Pats came out of the tunnel and onto the field at the beginning, and it gave me a bad vibe. Strider
Not to break up the party...but can you guys say paranoia??? I'm a diehard PAckers fan and was pissed when we lost, but they just plain beat us. The PAts have had close games for their last 4 prior to this. Maybe their luck just ran out, they got tired......there were a few injuries, and maybe the Giants just gameplanned really well like they did in their other playoff games. I just don't see there being some kind of big conspiracy to make the Pats lose here.

Actually I'd say that the Giants were just worse at losing than the Packers were. That was just a bad game on both sides. I'm a packers fan too. jtslalom
Umm.... he had no offensive line. It all just doesn't add up to me... Well it added up to me. They had no offensive line because the Giants took it away. Just look at some of the Giants defensive plays. There was one where Tuck fakes the blitz then turns around and fakes to go in coverage and then turns back and blitzes. He LEVELS Brady and was almost untouched doing so. The Pats couldn't match the Giants offensive pass rush. Brady was rushed all game. Even when Brady had the opportunity to make a play he heard footsteps and couldn't complete his passes. One occasion was when Moss was open in the end zone and Brady wasn't able to make the pass. He through it 10 feet in front of Moss. That gane totally belonged to the Giants Defensive line and pass rush. The Pats had a great offensive line but definately were outplayed by the Giants. Jack M
Well it added up to me. They had no offensive line because the Giants took it away. Right, that's what I'm saying. That type of b-slap from a defense hasn't happened in over 18 games. To me it just seems too improbable that our o. line was that out-played and out-classed. All year, Brady masterfully orchestrated his offensive linemen, moving them around, calling audibles, pointing out troublemakers on the other side... I didn't see nearly as much of that last night. still shaking my head here.
Galen
Best SB I've seen in a while. From early in the season all the way thru the PO's, Giants were never given a chance. An awesome pass rush and a wink and a nod from the FB gods won this one for them. Eli should have never thrown that pass, Tyree never should have caught it, up in the air, out of Harrisons hands and onto his helmet. Wow! Loved watching that A-Holt get burned for the winning TD:eplus2: Much has been made about BB's exit, I think it's unwarranted. Everyone thought time was up, ref's were escorting the Pats off the field as they do with the losing team in the SB. Lay that one on the ref's and time keeper. thought BB took it like a man, just some confusion there in the end. How do you beat the Pat's? Pressure, total abandon, and no fear of losing. If teams don't play them like that next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see them go 16-0 again. Chalk one up for the red headed step-child! Gleb
I have a friend that is really into gambling. Like balls out, thousands of dollars on the line for some events. He has been doing it for years and made many connections. He said more sporting events are rigged than you would think. Basketball is one of the bigger ones. I didn't believe him at first but then something funny happend during the NBA finals last year. I forgot the specifics, but he called that a key player would foul out in the opening minutes of the game and that team would get slaughtered even though they were said to win with a pretty big spread. He made bank, and so did the guy that told him. Sports are controlled by Vegas, and he proved that to me on many occassions. One thing he did say is that overall rigging is rarely done on a scale of the super bowl. Who knows. Look on the bright side...pitchers and catchers report to training camp in 10 days
