Randy T. Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 I have nothing to do with this board I just found it amusing! Burton Quote
cail Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 wow that is hilarious... read the answers to the questions  Quote
Allee Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Yep, he seems to know an awful lot about something so uninteresting. Quote
BoarderYUL Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 It seems the guy has 4 offers ??!!?? oldsnowboards.com, did you win the lottery???? Quote
trikerdad Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 He doesn't know much about ebay either. Start it at $2.00, with a reasonable reserve, to find out what kind of value it might have. Looking at past auctions for old burton boards, it's possible it could bring as much as $2000 but, he's made it into a joke by putting that kind of price on it. Quote
paragonUE Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 hell theres a sky commuter FLYING FRIGGIN CAR, going for only a couple thousand more. Quote
Shred Gruumer Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 At least he answers him... now he won't sell it to me cause I want carve it with plate bindings.. go back and see the questions..and responses.. Dang..so what the hell am i going to go with 40 g's:confused: Quote
chadx Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Hey Shred, too bad about him blackballing you. I will, however, offer my services as a straw buyer for a small fee (negotiable, but 10% seems fair to me). Let me know, but keep it quiet. I don't want the guy to find out. Quote
gburgess Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Randy T. Thanks for pointing that one out. The problem is if a married guy buys the board for that price, chances are his wife is going to break it over his head. Then the one of a kind board will become two of a kind. Quote
tahoetrencher Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Looks like evil marketing genius to me. Guess it's time to take a look at those old boards I was going to make a light out of... Quote
newcarver Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Saw an original Winterstick on there with the rubber bungee type bindings for asking price of $5000 with a bunch of offers on E-bay too. Same guy has a RennTiger with CNC rattraps for $275 or something too. That Winterstick would make a great big mountain powder setup. Quote
Shred Gruumer Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 How many actually think someone bought this for 5000.. you don't think his friend put in the bid.. come on.. 5000 even? no 4895.98 ? but 5000 even... don't think so! If that for real.. Im going to email him about special museum piece one of a kind Shred Gruumer signed Coilers... hahhahaha:lol: Quote
eaglez Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 Why would someone let an auction end for big bucks when there was no real buyer? The ebay sellers fees would kill you. Just a thought. :D D. Quote
Trenchman Posted January 12, 2008 Report Posted January 12, 2008 It appears the buyer has started a collection of snurfers and other similar riding toys. I checked his feedback and found many snurfer and skifer purchases recently. This seems like a step up in his collection:ices_ange Quote
powell1.8 Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Check out the buyers picture. If that's really him, that says a lot. Many desciptive words come to mind, but I try not to judge. Quote
