Algunderfoot
Fe and I are flying out to Portland on Friday, planning to carve up whatever we find at T-Lodge Saturday and Sunday. Any forumites with a similar plan? Let me know. We'll be living small in Hood River for the weekend, any tips on Apres hot spots would also be appreciated. Al Try the beer at Elliot Glacier Public House http://oregonbeer.org/elliotglacier.html. They also have an amazing view of the mountain from the back of the brewery. It's in Parkdale, about a mile off of Hwy 35 (the road from Hood River to Timberline), about 15 miles outside of Hood River. Their food is fine - not really outstanding - but the beer is great. They're the 3rd stop on Bikes 'n' Brew :)

P06781
There is still pretty good snow up there yet and plan on riding a day this coming weekend for the carve fest #2. Yes the pancakes were good last time too. Nice to see some Wisconsin people out here, grew up in Marshfield and went to UW-Madison. Algunderfoot
Fe and I did make the most of our weekend, despite getting rather wet. Drizzle/sleet on Saturday, but Palmer was open, Sunday the rain was horizontal. I learned something about Felica on Sunday, in that she's does have some conjules. We both enjoyed the riding in spite of the weather...hmmmmm. Thanks Bryan for the warm welcome and local intel. Photos will come but they are few due to the inclimate conditions. I am sitting at the Full Sail Pub as I write, all of the promotional items were "up for grabs" when they moved the brewery offices a few weeks ago. Sandra, the marketing gal remembered two snowboard banners, but none with a carver. :( She said if you have an image to help her remember / locate it, you can contact her through the Full Sail web page. Hello Jim, people 'are' Wisconsin's biggest export. I do get out west more than I deserve to. The snow was interesting, stiff at first, magic for about an hour, after that I was looking for the Rain-x. Missed out on the pancakes... We did find Elliot Glacier brew pup, nice call Dan! Mike, we passed on Horsefeathers, beered out by that time, needed our recuprative sleep. Thanks for the suggestion! Sinecure, enjoy your visit, say hello to Sean for us! Back to work, back to the watersports for awhile. Al
www.oldsnowboards.com
Al and Fe, it was pleasure meeting you both! Glad you got a chance to check T-Line out during the late spring. Here is the ad banner I spoke of. They probably would not recognise the rider as an alpine rider. Enjoy the rest of your visit and safe journey.
