yamifumi
I bought this couple years ago from a member. I have only ridden couple times and changed to step-ins from TD2. These are great binding for non-stepins. One of the Burton sign is missing. asking $50 Email: yami713@hotmail.com

bobdea
there's something wrong there but I can't place it there are supposed to be rubber peices that fit to the bottom of the binding right????
jdgang
wouldnt it have notches in the sides like my physics have?
bjvircks
The red rubber dampers must be between the aluminum plate and board, not between the plastic 'cover' and aluminum plate. TRUE???
tahoetrencher
The red rubber extends through the metal base raising the baseplate above the board. There isn't anything missing.
185er
My vote fore Tahoetrencher, I have a pair of those exact race plate, and a pair of physics, and there are no rubber parts between the plate and the board on the race plate as on the physics
bjvircks
later versions of raceplates have one piece damper sheets which cannot be placed anywhere BUT between plate and board because of molded in features in rubber match unique cutouts in plate. Not So ? edit: I vote that the world is flat. :D
Derf
Here is a 300 dpi scan of the 1998 Burton catalog. They seem to be assembled correctly.
bobdea
I don't know, but it just seems odd that burton would change their plates from the year prior, then change them again and then again the following year
bjvircks
here is a screencapture from the '97 burton catalog... cannot tell if top or bottom of plate. (thanks DERF) my comment comes from complete ignorance of this particular flavor of binding. I cannot offer anything to support my particular view other than my opinion that locating the rubber between the plate and plastic upper provides little to no damping. I still think the world is flat! dampers.bmp
SEJ
Brad, I'll take them if you get this far down the list. Scott
bjvircks
Not my bindings to sell, Scott. It looks like I'm just random noise cluttering up the thread. Sorry guys! Brad
SEJ
I stand corrected. Yamifumi if you get this far down the list they are sold. Scott
wavechaser
I had several pairs of this design - the rubber dampers go between the plastic and the metal and the little "nubs" stick through and raise the plate off the board. There were a couple differnet colors of dampers - on mine the red ones were "hard" and white was "soft". The white ones were actually so soft that they crushed after two seasons and had to be replaced. I had to file down the toe/heel plate attachment screws where they stuck through the metal plate so they would not dig into the topsheet though, as I have had to do on ALL the BRP's regardless of year/design. *** Bail replacements are probably a good idea from the looks of these and a full set is available from www.klugriding.com for $40.
