In point of historical fact, pirates had quite the democratic system of government. When the needed to reach a collective decision, pirates would arrrrrrrrrrrrrrticulate increasingly arrrrrrrrrrrrrrcane arrrrrrrrrrrrrrguments until they had either arrrrrrrrrrrrrrived at consensus, or consumed all of the rum. I heard they were anarrrrrchists that wore arrrrrrgyle socks and at one point successfully negotiated an arrrrrrmistice with the celts. Is that true?
