  1. steiner is lovin UNH...will be home this week, then the loooonnnngg christmas break...
  2. kildy, when you go off topic, you really go off topic... ok, guess who this is...
  3. Of course his carving needs work...that's the point! I don't know about the rest of you, but my goal is to get down the hill with as much enjoyment and as little damage as possible. This is supposed to be fun...and judging from the article and video they had a blast. I'm new to carving, although my son has been racing for a while now. My first time on hardboots was a humbling experience. I do think, however, the speed suit has to go. Like the guys in Speedos at Old Orchard Beach...it's just wrong.
  4. Hi, Noah. Does that include lift tickets for the session? thanks! Carol.
  5. There is an Arbor A55 on NH craigslist...being sold with TD1s and boots. The guy won't split up the package or the board would be mine. Looks in great shape. Not the Munoz version, but very nice nonetheless.
  6. Hi, Steve. Glad to hear you guys are doing the race training again this year. I just might have to finally try it. Please post details when you have them and thanks! Carol.
  7. can you send/post pics? thanks.
  8. very interested. what is the length of the baseplates on these and would they be good for MP24 boots? thanks.
  9. After years of searching for an Arbor 165 Munoz carving board, I stumbled across a barely-used Arbor 174 carver in fantastic condition. Between me and my son we currently own eight Arbors (I was surprised at the total), one of which is a Pyramid Ale board I use for display only. He also has an Arbor Rail skateboard. Saying we're fond of Arbors is probably an understatement... Now that the season is ending, I'll gather the "clan" for a photo. The topsheet on the Arbor earlier in this thread is really unique...love it!
  10. Is the bx this Saturday still on? Haven't seen an email yet.
  11. I know they're hard to find this year...anybody have a set?
  12. Hey, Randy. Any idea what year the two boards on the far left of your two "family photos" might be? Can you describe the bases? I'm doing some research on the year of an Arbor carver for a friend. thanks in advance, Carol.
  13. in response to questions...waist on the pants is 30" and has velcro adjusters in the waistband to go smaller. Inseam is around 30-31". Overall, sizing is a women's 8 - 10.
  14. Both are from the AK series a few years back...jacket is the 2 layer Alerion model, gray and black, and worn only a few times. Pants are black 2 layer vent pant with the little magnets on the vent flaps -- these are brand new with the tags still attached. I bought these new a few years back when I wore a size M in other Burton clothing. The AK line tends to have a more fitted style...so these never did feel right. I'm now more on the size L scale and they definitely don't fit so here they are... Looking for $75 each...cash in person or PayPal and shipping costs. I range from Waterville Valley to Boxborough MA. Somebody can get a great deal on some really nice outerwear here...
  15. I have the step-in race version I'm looking to sell. I'm missing one of the eight screws that attache the heels, but otherwise complete and in great shape. I'm looking for something smaller/more compact.
  16. My son rides a Burton Wire with hardboots...much wider than his gs or sl boards and probably more like your volkl (sp?). He hasn't touched his soft boot setup in over a year. The volkl seems like the way to go.
  17. The stock liners shown with the boots are a 24 and they are included with the boots. The 23 thermos are being sold separately.
  18. Custom liners, never molded so they're still "flat." Tape residue in pic comes from storage and should have no effect on molding or wear. I'm right between sizes and ended up using a 24 ilner in my "new" boots. Yours for $25 plus shipping. I ride Waterville, live near Manchester, NH, work in Boxborough so there are many local pickup options. Carol. -- note, boots discussed below have been sold!
  19. I think you have it right. I'm actually all set, just offering an opinion on liners I've ridden. I had the alpine overlap Intuitions in my Northwaves and it worked very well without laces on the liners. Compared to my first pair of softies, which packed out a half size in less than a season, any boot with an Intuition liner gets my vote.
  20. BTW, I've got a pair of Raichle MP 23 thermo liners which have never been molded that I'm looking to get rid of...wasn't sure if I needed 23 or 24 and it turns out I needed 24. If somebody is in the Waterville area and could use them let me know. I'd let them go for a case of good beer...:)
