  1. Got rid of my soft setup two seasons ago, and realized that I just can not stand riding hardboots at baldy or mtn high when I go, SO...need a softboot setup I am farkin broke but can scrape up cash if someone can help got a WCR 185 in near new condition and some Stratos Pros w/ intec and BTS/Blue...have considered selling those, too... just want to get back out there and a soft setup is less demanding right now thanks in advance.
  2. Got a set of Head Stratos Pro purchased in 07...5 days on them: Thermoflex liners (molded twice) Intec heels w/ stainless bolts Bomber BTS w/ blue springs NOT looking to give them away...if you're lookin for bargain basement prices I'm not your guy...but if you want to pay a reasonable price hit me up through bomber or directly
  3. I must have missed Jack's post. the light, eh? I couldn't have sold it...wasn't my intellectual property...but yeah...I deleted it. Was going through pics and stuff and just said "hell that's no use anymore..." sorry, Jack. The original wasn't that high res anyway. Too the rest of ya...thanks, and I still kinda need some "PME" sent my way.
  4. kinda ironic me calling someone out for posting like a dick :)
  5. sorry jack. deleted it recently. thanks all for the welcome back. until the health thing gets figured out, riding probably isn't in my future. It's not comfortable anymore and I'm only good for a few runs anyway :( got every kind of trouble one could imagine. it absolutely pours sometimes. test of mettle, I guess.
  6. yeah, dude...various demons indeed. I spent 25 or so years letting a lot of **** build up...it's time to get it out and get past it. Don't mean to turn this into a couch session for me, but...I read a book called "I Don't Want To Talk About It" on the insistence of a friend, and it really hit home and gave me some much needed insight. I really wanted to post this pic :)
  7. oh...one more thing... I've had some alarming and mysterious "health issues" since about that same time period, and I'd like to ask for some "vibes" so maybe I can get out of that hole, too, and hopefully some day not too far off get back to trying to rail turns like oldsnowboards.
  8. Hey all I stormed out of here yet again a few months ago, and I vowed to not come back. well that didn't !#$!@#$ work, DID IT! Look...fact is...at some point, right around 2006, but starting long before that and long before I realized what was happening, I started turning mean. 06 was the death of my beloved best friend Avalanche. Best darn dog ever. I know it sounds cheesy and kinda self-indulgent but that crap just killed what was left of my positivity. Like I said things started getting a bit dicey for me long before that, basically around 9/11 when I became both politically aware and generally "disenchanted" with "the world," but I've been doing some thinking lately and I realized that right after my dog was taken from me a series of events piled up and just made me say "f it." This site wasn't the first one where I ended up looked at as some opinionated curmudgeon. Not even close. It also wasn't the first site where I alienated some pretty farking cool people. Hopefully it'll be the last. I won't make some dramatic proclamation about me being a new man or anything...but I'm struggling to get back to being the dude I used to be. I gotta tell y'all that I've got some pretty big hurdles comin up, so it's gonna be difficult for me, but ultimately no one here ever really did anything to directly jam me up. Well, except maybe Kress but even that stuff was really something I could have let slide. That said..."Snowman"...seriously...let me let it all go, ok? No more jabs at me...but feel free to call me out civilly if I get outta line? That goes for the rest of you. I won't be posting here that much. Fact is talking about snowboarding...lost its appeal for the most part. BUT...I'd like to be able to pop in every once in a while and say what's up to everyone without catching heat. Doable? Tex...you're one of the dudes I lashed out at last time and I'm sorry for that. We've always been cool on these boards and off, so...my bad. I think there was someone else specifically but I don't want to go looking for evidence and have to re-live something. To anyone I pissed off, seriously...I'm sorry. So, that said...who's gonna be the first to post the obligatory "Look at me I'm an attention whore" poster? :)
  9. egibbons Stratos Pro with maybe 5 days total Deeluxe Thermoflex liners Bomber BTS w/ blue springs Intec Heels if you're willing to pay a reasonable price and not try to pull the "economy is bad" crap on me, I might sell outright, but otherwise don't even bother. please email me directly at D.L.Spang at gmail dot com I'm done with this site.
  10. bump I don't have 28 liners. probably just gonna sell the boots. Won't be riding this season most likely.
  11. to clarify what I have is 27 / 27.5 shells with thermoflex liners. Should be 27 or 27.5 if I remember correctly I want the next size up.
  12. got a pair of stratos pro in black with thermoflex liners that have been molded three times outers are in near perfect condition and drilled for BTS. I have BTS mounted right now but those are not part of the trade want Stratos Pro in 28 preferably with fully moldable liners OR the older Stratos plus cash I don't have pics of mine, but they have three days on them. That's it. oh...I have intec heels installed...I'm keepin those my feet grew I guess.
  13. neither of you two, or anyone else need bother respond. I won't be back to read your tripe. I realize that, sadly, this site has nothing to offer me anymore.
  14. a minor theft like that is certainly not worth the taking of a life, but thievery is unacceptable.
  15. "The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair." - H.L. Mencken
  16. gorgeous baby, dude. please raise her well.
  17. To me, directly? If so, you can kiss my ass, too! Literally laughing my ass off at your sheople, compliant crap. The police are NOT here to punish us. That is NOT their job, nor is it anyone else's to "bust someone up." I am appalled and flabbergasted at these responses, and ultimately disappointed in them coming from people who seemed quite cool to me for years. The police are not legistlators, nor are they adjudicators, nor are they penalizers. They aren't regulators, enforcers, or any other word. They are referees with the power to arrest. Shame on both of you. Leave the dude alone. In this particular case...he won't leave a seat? BIG FING DEAL. There were 15 seats around him, possibly more, and the BIG BAD AUTHORITARIANS actually appear to have injured someone else who wasn't even involved in the initial fracas. Your last statement is surprising considering your believe that people need to be busted up sometimes. Was it you with the troublesome stepson? It was, right? Weren't you going to kick him out if he didn't shape up? I agree you have every right to do so, but this whole "I wasn't intimidated" crap has no bearing whatsoever. What if that cop drew that tazer with zero provocation. Would you accept his actions without a reaction of your own? If so, you may well be beyond hope and actually part of the problem and reason why we are gradually, blatantly becoming a fascist nation.
  18. You're gonna piss me off here, bud. 1)If you are referring to my recent interaction with J. Law during which I was physically assaulted, threatened with a tazer, slammed on the hood of a police car and injured, you can KISS MY ASS. I was grumpy but compliant from the get go. Any derision real or perceived does not warrant physical assault. Ever. If you and I were, say, oh I don't know having this conversation in person, and you pulled the "mistreatment" in quotes and I popped you one for it, would that be justified? nope. What if you pulled over immediately after being flashed, LITERALLY within 10 seconds, had a cop threaten to ram your vehicle, had him exit his vehicle with his hand on his gun YELLING at you, refusing to answer your legitimate questions, THEN calling multiple cars for backup, THEN grab you when you did what you were told (exit your vehicle,) had a rookie threaten you with a tazer, etc, etc? Hmmmmm? You were in the wrong. The cop was likely ALSO polite and respectful to you, so you responded in kind. The relationship is a give/take, symbiotic one. Respect, indeed, gets respect. You lost a lot of mine just now.
  19. why, so they can prove how terrible their jobs are? Nonsense. 1)I respect those who are worthy of my respect. Respect is not a reflex it is learned and earned. 2)What we MUST respect is each others right to live without infringement. This manner of respect would lead to less authority necessary. Your argument that a lack of respect for authority would lead to chaos is ridiculous. We don't respect authority we fear it, and as more time passes that fear grows based on demonstrations by authority figures. Cops up to POTUS prove time and again that they deserve neither authority nor respect Corruption isn't the issue. The rule is that cops are power-mongers. The majority are. Period. End of story. Do the majority do their jobs acceptably? Yeah, most likely. And actual corruption ie taking bribes or stealing is far more prevalent than authority lovers like yourself are willing to admit.
  20. don't stereotype me, bro! Honestly...what I posted is my OPINION, but it's irrefutable. Most cops just write tickets, most judges are just extortionists. The "legal" system is institutionalized theft, fraught with corruption, cronyism, and entitlement for those with connections. The rest of us must bow down. Oh, speaking of tazers: http://www.prisonplanet.com/cops-taser-old-man-for-sitting-in-wrong-seat-at-baseball-game.html
  21. bad time to sell gear, dude. just hold on to it til october. knocked off lift...kid at snowbowl? bad joke. yes, that day was a blast. Some of the best turns I've ever made, and all on a cute pink little 167! That board was a banger! sunrise, eh? never heard of it. gonna check it out.
  22. Tahoe, eh? Get a lot of days in? I've had a crummy couple of years with only a handful of days in there. Got lots of days in that season I met you. Hell...that specific day we rode was one of the funnest I've ever had. What a blast that was! Funny how I'm a "dick" online, hey? So you gonna ride at snowbowl this winter again? Don't get knocked off any lifts!
  23. Inherent fallacy regarding police work. A "stereotype" that basically encourages them to be dicks. The vast majority of cops are simply ticket writers, drunk busters and fight breakerupppers (sorry)...the vast majority do not deal with "the dregs" on a daily basis.
  24. wasn't it on a mountain bike? might help with your search.
