I havent used softies in 3 years. I outgrew my softboard 4 years ago and thats when i switched to hardboots. If I tried to get back on softies, im sure I can do it.
I am not sure but i saw my friend(2nd time skiing) break his leg. The way he did it shouldnt have broken it. i am guessing he wasnt fitted properly when he was getting boots. the funny part about it is that it was at the bottom of the hill on flat ground.
I wish that could happen to me but there arent really any carvers in the chicagoland area. Hopefully i go to college in colorado next year and make some turns with other hard booters on a regular basis.
i never liked riding fakie in softies. i dont like being in goofy. i would stay with what your comfortably with. If you want change try the terrain park( you get a lot of funny stares from park monkeys  )
For some reason when i get on steep blue runs, i can do a few carves and then i slow down. i dont know why, maybe i'm a little gunshy. Does anybody know what to do or have the same problem(or a solution)?
