  1. I have the previous GTS (all blue) and that year, I believe it was cheaper than the SL. Never been on an SL but have the Silberpfeil and I like it a lot more than the old GTS (though nothing spectacular).
  2. Speed demons will meet their match on the piste. Switzerland is introducing speed cameras on the slopes to try to reduce the increasing number of accidents. http://travel.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/travel/article3134330.ece
  3. I think that folding the nose while carving means a face plant and a bloody lower lip (happened to me couple of years ago). Hit the hardpack real hard, bounced and rolled, landed on my feet and continued sliding with goggles full of snow. :o
  4. I never had my board stolen but I always lock it. My cousin had his skis stolen twice. The second time it was a gang that was burying the skis under the snow then climbing up the mountain on foot at night digging up the stolen skis.
  5. That's what I'm getting but longer 186 or 188, hope it's ready by December.
  6. I have both - 03/04 Speedster GTS 166 and a 168 04/05 Silberpfeil. I don't think the GTS is the Speedster you want so I'll tell you about the Silberpfeil. The board likes steeps and it is exactly as described "carving machine". There is no hold limit, carve as hard as you want - you never wash out and it's super fast going from one edge to the other. Riding it flat fast is not good, this board wants to carve - it don't like fast blue runs. You can go slow, you can go fast - as long as your hand is ready to grab snow you feel at home, it's only drawback: too much carve. Cuts easily through slush on groomed but sucks off-piste, it sinks.
  7. Is this what you are looking for? http://213.216.12.3/ProductDetailAction.bto?selectedNode=l2OFoM7kXsqPEBWgen8Aie-1 <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top align=middle>Deeluxe Linsenblechschrauben verzinkt DIN7981C statt 0,15 € 0,12 € </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><!-- -->
  8. Most people I meet on the slopes are either single or divorced. With women you have to choose one or the other. If I even consider new gear I have to listen to crap about changing the fabric on the couch or new curtains. Guess what, I'm getting a new board. Even when women don't object and say nothing, they will make you feel bad by making it obvious that they are not having a good time. PS W.A.F. a new term that applies to big speakers (other things too) - wife acceptance factor. I love them, right?
