  1. Thanks for the feedback guys. Is there anywhere to rent carving boards out there? Would be easier to bring boots and bindings.
  2. Hey. I have a business trip that will bring me from Ottawa to Vancouver for the last two weeks of November. Will there be any mountains open that early?
  3. May be heading to BC for 2 weeks on Nov 18th. Anyone familiar when the mountains open out there?
  4. Ditch the OS2's will likely be the general response. I ran that exact setup on my VSR first when I purchased it until a spherical nut failed. Anyhow long story short, no it did not damage the board. It will permanently scratch the topsheet however so keep that in mind. The biggest thing, which I didn't discover until after I rode the board without the spacers, was how much they affected the flex of the board. It was significant. Now that I'm thinking about it, I had discussions with Bruce about using the Cateks before I made the purchase and he did re-inforce the area as well. This was more for the point loading of the binding I believe vs protecting the metal. This was even though I was going to use spacers.
  5. J'aime ca beaucoup Real. Est-ce que tu vas en installer sur le Kessler?
  6. My new whip! Compliments of the Mad Scientist. Side cut is 13/14. Now if only we had some snow to ride it on.
  7. Get the F*&K out!! That blows. I was looking at some SES pics on FB. Saw Bruce. Looks like they are having fun. Bastages!!
  8. Ok just for clarification I ride step-ins. Hilux is a local and someone I ride with regularly. I was being facetious. That is why I was directing the previous comment to check out my signature. Not looking to cause a rift between those on conventional bindings and those that prefer step-ins.
  9. Step-in's are for lazy people.
  10. Should have seen the Eagle F1's I took off the wagon in the fall. WOW
  11. We have the blue skies and cold weather. Too bad conditions are ass.
  12. KTV if you are renting a car they are not usually in the fleet long enough to have the tires worn down. But you can request a vehicle with snow tires to see if they have it. Just FYI you may want to inquire about their out of country policy. This will likely affect their insurance coverage requirements. Here in Ontario you are not required to take their coverage if your personal insurance company will cover the rental. You just need to take with you the liability slip with you from the vehicle that you own which is not being driven while you are out of town. All that being said just take your time and get here in one piece. Mark that law only applies to vehicles licensed in the province of Quebec. I will be riding all day Friday and then heading home. Its only a 3.5 hour tour for me.
  13. You have space to bring up another set of tires with you......? ;-p

  17. Dont bother. Its like bad spring riding.
  18. Just wanted to take this opportunity to send out a big Thank You to Fin. While prepping my gear last night for riding today I discovered a failure in one of my binding components. I sent an email to Fin before heading to bed and was more than pleasantly surprised when he responded what must have been minutes after arriving at work this morning. Needless to say he went far above and beyond with helping me out by providing replacement parts for a well used pair of bindings when in my experience it would have been easy for manufacturer to say "Your fault, your problem". Its great to know that there are people and companies that will stand behind their products and provide fantastic customer service. In less than 24 hours after discovering the problem there has been clear communication, a more than satisfactory resolution and parts in the mail!! Thanks.
  19. Anyone available to ride Tremblant this Thursday January 10th?

  22. I so can't wait to ride this.....
