  1. Great! Thanks for the quick reply and recommendation. I've been surprised at how difficult it is to find instructors in that area who are carving oriented. Best, Stephen
  2. Hello - Just looking for the right forum to request a private, 1-2 full day, soft-boot carving lesson at any resort in the Breckenridge, CO area (within an hour or so radius). Any certified coaches interested in the extra money, please let me know. I do realize private coaching from people who are not employed by the resort can be tricky - just let me know how to proceed if their is an appropriate process. Best, Stephen Walters
  3. Hello - It seems these pop up here and there on the board. If you have a fairly recent set/model, please let me know. Best, Stephen
  4. Thanks for chiming in, Neil. And once again, you appear to have a better grasp of my postings and purchases than I do. So it was a 163 instead of a 159. Just too many inquiries too keep it all straight. I was in contact with the guys in Boulder, CO who have/had a number of BX boards on Ebay recently - Kessler, Virus, Jasey-Jay - one of those must have been the 159cm. At any rate, I will have the Oxess above for the season regardless of its handling. I did pick up a set of fairly stiff 2016 Flow NX2-GT bindings today along with a pair of Ride Trident boots - we'll see how it all works out.
  5. By the way, I did end up getting the Oxess above for around $500.00 (including shipping) to the US. Not a bad deal in my opinion, as long as it works out as an all mountain board set-up.
  6. Well crap - As I hit the send button from my last reply to you, I wondered if I had actually made an Oxess inquiry. I promise I'll never drink and inquire again. When you said the Oxess may be a bit much for an all mountain carver, did you mean cost/price wise? How would the Oxess SBX compare to the other higher end boards - Kessler, Virus and such for an all-mountain carver? Thanks, Stephen
  7. Hello - I'm going to give an Oxess BX board (158 cm, I believe) a try this season as more of an all-mountain, soft boot carving set up. I'm new to carving; however, I've ridden for nearly 15 years. What can I expect from the Oxess BX this season? I only have 4 days on a demo Donek hard boot set up last year as a comparison other than riding tradition boards for some time. I read quite a bit about the effort a BX board may take to ride, but I'm not sure what that means in the end. Best, Stephen Walters
  8. Not really - He said he was making some life style choices one of which was to scale back his business & board production.
  9. I'm guessing this board has been sold?
  10. Hello Neil - I'm not sure I'm the one who was looking for an Oxess for 750.00? I was on the forums a fews years back looking, but I was open to any number of boards. I've contacted Bruce at Coiler - he is into January for their BX/FR board, and he mentioned he was cutting back his business/production in generaI. I was trying to get a board, boots, & bindings used or in combination with new for around $1,000.00 US.
  11. Hello - Either of the Catek bindings still available? Stephen
  12. Hello - How close is the Oxess BX board to an all-mountain/free carve type board? I'm newer to carving and am looking for a soft boot set up. Best, Stephen
  13. I'm interested. I've been trying to differentiate between a BX oriented board and a more all-mountain/free ride carver. It seems that a number of BX boards are advertised as BX/Freeride etc. If I'm not mistaken, the F2 has several Eliminator models, correct? If so, which model are you selling? Please send a few pics - I am interested. Best, Stephen 307 251 1166 Laramie WY US
  14. Hello - I'm looking for all-mounting/free ride carving board. I plan to ride a soft boot set up. I'm 5'-10" and roughy 180 lbs. I've typically ridden splitboards at about 165 cm or so. I'm thinking an all-mountain in the low 160s would work just fine. I've looked at Prior, Oxess, Kessler and several others and would be happy to have any of the previous - I would consider any higher end brand that is in great shape. I would need shipping to Laramie, WY USA. I would consider purchasing a high end set of appropriate soft boot bindings as well. Best, Stephen D. Walters
  15. Well, this is embarrassing - Is there a PM link somewhere? Best stephen
  16. Board still available? stephen
  17. Hello Do you have a bottom line in mind? stephen
  18. Hello what year is the board?
  19. What year is it? I've seen the Oxygen GS listed as a decent board for more all around conditions (on this sight) even though it is a GS board and not all mountain. What do you think? I will almost never ride the board on more perfect groomed, slopes - I just don't live close enough to pick my days on the slopes. Will it handle various conditions? Do you think it would also handle a trip or two into back country powder (not as a primary powder board by any means)? I'm 5"10" and about 180 lbs. The length is certainly in the ball park - what about the side cut and such? I know it is a GS board, but can you crank out some tighter turns without too much trouble? Most of the ski areas I ride have fairly narrow slopes. And finally, do you have any bindings for sale? They do not have to be the best - just decent and in good shape. Thanks - My number is 307 251 1166. Stephen
  20. Hello - Board still available? Stephen
  21. Hello - I'm sure it's too late, but if you have a current board list, please email. Best - Stephen
  22. Hello - What's you bottom line? A bit steep for me currently, although I do recognize that your asking price is fair. I may be interested in a slightly better price. Best - Stephen
  23. Hello again - My phone was off all day yesterday if you called. Feel free to call today if you would like. What's your bottom line price shipped to Laramie, WY 82070? Best - Stephen
  24. Hello - Prior still available? My number is 307 251 1166. Best, Stephen
  25. Hello - I'm looking for a decent, more all mountain than race/carve specific alpine board with solid, step-in bindings - 160's cm. I'm not terribly concerned about other board measurements. I'm 5'10" and roughly 180lbs. I've ridden a Burton Split Board with hard boot bindings etc. for roughly 6 years, but I have not ridden a carve specific board to date. I could use a pair of hard boots as well - I do not know my cm foot size, but I wear a 9.5 in street shoes and my last pair of softboots was a 9.5 as well. The board will get more carving use than all mountain use, but even while living out west, I do not encounter too many perfectly groomed slopes best for carving. Subsequently, I will need something that can take variable conditions with as much ease as possible. The make is not terrible important; however, I would appreciate at east a mid-level board in terms of quality and cost. Older models are fine - especially if they were overstocks and still new. I ride goofy just in case someone is emailing with a stance specific board. I have a 4-5 day trip planned for the week of March 16th (2013) and would like a new carving set prior to leaving for Breckenridge, CO. My number is 307 251 1166. Best, Stephen Walters
