  1. Returned to the original owner! Thank you Mark for the interest!
  2. Here is the elusive Burton Frontier 170 you are looking for! That is if you are still looking for one!! I can send pics and more info if you are still interested. There is only one catch, the completion of deal for a Coiler AM 172 from a member of this forum! Thx!
  3. They are in the same condition as when you sent them to me! They only thing I need to do, is to dust off the box and send them! Are you OK with the price? Thanks!
  4. Hi, Mark! I have no experience with the Raichle boots since I have chosen the Head boots for my wide foot. Stiffness and size is something I cannot comment. But I do recall a post comparing Raichle and Head boots. But here is what the Bomber store is saying about the Stratos Pro: "Head Stratus Pro - This boot is comparable to the Suzuka in stiffness. Stiff boot, but not the stiffest boot. Great for all mountain if you want a stiffer boot or if you are over 200 pounds. If you are under 200 pounds, consider the Lemans for all-mountain. Has Standard Flex and partially moldable Head liner" The stratos is softer but by how much, I couldn't say, sorry! If you still have still some interest about them I can send you a picture. Let me know!
  5. As stated in the title, you got yourself a keeper for the board! This is assuming the board has most of its life left! I'm interested to know the board's info as far as usage! What year is it? How many days on it? How many times has the edge been sharpen? Let me know, thanks!
  6. Hi! Consider them sold if you haven't heated the liner! Thanks! Please get in touch with me for the shipping details!
  7. New Head Stratos 27.5 (not the Stratos pro) in the original box! Everything is there apart from the key to adjust the forward lean. (Screwdriver would do the job though) Liner has never been molded. They are the brown translucent model with the orange toe piece. (2002 model I think???) They are softer than the Stratos Pro model! They fit wider feet really well! Bought from a member of this forum (tswei) last year as a back-up. It turns out that I want a stiffer model (6 foot, 230...) Asking for $250 plus shipping! Pics available upon request! Thanks!
  8. Hi, K! Where can I find those pics in the mentionned aligment thread? Thanks!
  9. You are so right! I will post it on the Wanted section! As for the suggestion, it seems they are sold out of the step-in retro kit for the season at Bombers! :( Thanks again for the advice!
  10. Hello Fellow Carver! I want to convert my rear boot set-up from standard to a step-in format. For all of you experts, let me know if my list of parts is accurate. Sole block (non-sprung) Lug (non-sprung) (2) Bail step-in toe Heel receiver TD-2 M6 x 12 (4) Intec heel (right heel, cables, top clip and set clips, and screws) So if someone has such a set-up to sell or part of it to sell, let me know! Thanks.

  12. Send me a message at guay_francois@videotron.ca where I can pick up those! By the way, how much are you asking for a pair? Thanks, Francois. PS: I glad to see there is local people on the Bomberonline forum. I sure don't get to see much people that carve at my local hill.
  13. I'm looking to add some stiffness to my Head Stratos boots. Anyone willing to part with the stiffer of the 2 tongues delivered with the Stratos Pro? Let me know how much you are asking! Thanks.

    FS: Coiler AM 172

Hi! Can you send me the details for the Coiler (price, shipping cost to Montreal (H3E 1A2)? Thx, Francois.
  15. Hey, D-Sub! If I was anywhere close to the way you carve, I would be very happy. I got a clip of my riding but I don't know how to post it. Well, actually, I'm kind of shy to show how much work my carving needs. I just realized on my last session that my rear knee is way too straight which prevents me from bending my legs more than what I currenly do. Maybe I should post it to get advice. Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you look very good on a board compare to me (read a bit a jealousy)... Take care, Francois.
  16. I'm a bit mixed up, when I learn about waxing cross country skis, they were telling us to put the harder wax first then you could put a coat of softer wax. They were saying that a hard wax on a soft one was like trying to put peanut butter on a layer of jam. Is snowboard wax working on a different principle? Don't get this question as a negative comment on your post! I'm only trying to understand how this works! Thx.
  17. OK, OK, I give up! Really, It makes a lot of sense to tune my board. Where do I need to begin? Video instructions? List of supplies and tools needed? And above all, how much do I need to shell out? Thx, Francois.
  18. How long is the life of a Coiler Freecarve? Days used per year? Or tune-up (edges sharpenig)? I just want to know when to place an order for the replacement of my new toy. Thx, Francois
  19. Thanks, Guys! Call me silly, when I was speaking to the guy at my local shop. He was so unsure about what to do with my board since the usual guy was out for the day. I just had my edge sharpen with no wax. D-Sub: What is the angle that Bruce (Coiler) sharpens his board when they get shipped? My stick is a FC 178 with WCC with nothing fancy. The reason for my question: Today when I rode after my edge sharpening, it felt crummy, lots of slip on the back side. It could be that I had a bad day or maybe I'm trying to blame my the tune-up for my lack of technique. But if it's the way my edges got sharpened, It least I will know what to ask for in my future tune-up. Thanks, Francois PS: Derf, last year, I was going to Sharks as well. This year I was looking for a part in my local shop. The guy I was talking to was offering to tune my board. He said he was doing it for a few other guy that were really happy with the results. So far, I'm unsure if I will ever go back to that shop.
  20. Hello, fellow carver! I need some guidance. It's time for my first tune-up on my Coiler Freecarve. The guy I saw at the shop tells me he need to remove the binding to be able to sharpen the edges and wax my board. I'm a bit reluctant to have him take off my TD-2 for tuning my PRECIOUS!!! Also, what should I ask for my edge sharpening? I'm just in my second year on plates and consider myself a average rider (read need improvement on most of my technique)... Any advice will be welcome. Thanks, Francois.
  21. Hey, Hagen! Dpreview was exactly what I had in mind... Not enough time for me to waste it on a flame thread at dpreview. The only time I use my Mark II on the slopes is when I walk up the hill on foot. The problem with a great camera is that you never get as good a shot of you as oppose to the one you take of others.:( Take care, Francois.
  22. I meant Gecko on my post! Sorry, Francois
  23. Hi, Scott! Funny, you should talked about DVcam. I saw some ad in a magazine about the Everio. In a nutshell, this is a totaly digital camcorder with a 2 mpix picture camera. It write on a included 4 gig micro-drive. Maybe not perfect but interesting nevertheless. Have a look http://www.jvc.com/presentations/everio/ Some more toys, I have stopped dreaming about the Lamborghini.;) By the way Gecko, Thanks for not making this a flaming thread about Canon vs Nikon. I'm so invested in Canon glass that switching would probably ruin my relationship..... Back to work now! Thanks, Francois
  24. Hi, Jack! 8.5 fps Full res with the Canon Mark II. Yep, you did read 8.5 fps in full 8 megapix of resolution with a buffer of about 40 jpeg images.... This camera is truly a beast. Being a DSLR, you can use nice lenses for optimal picture quality and realize awesome photo composite later on with your computer. This comes with a price, cash being one, weight, huge memory card and endless time playing on your computer at night, I forgot one, the fear of having someone break in to your car to steal THE PRECIOUS!!!! Carve hard and prosper, Francois.
  25. Now I get it! Now that I'm reading the answers to my questions, it looks so obvious. I feel dummer that before... Anyway, looking silly ounce in a while never kiled anyone, otherwise I would have died a long time ago.... To answer your question Derf, I bought the Prior at Sharks last year and sold it to a member of the BOL forum in December. For the Coiler, I ordered it directly from Bruce V.. He is truly a gem to deal with. I'm really anxious to try the new toy. I will surely give you a shout if I can spare a free night at St-Bruno. Bare in mind that ability as a carver would be far from your level. But sure I can use some advice. Thanks for the offer, Francois. Ride long and prosper!
