  1. Bought new last season for $999.00 About tens runs last year, 1 this year. Not my go to board and waaay to nice to sit around. Light scratches on the topsheet. No edge or bottom damage. Bought from Bomber store...standard specs $750. make an offer
  2. eeek! At least you will now have a new plate... Seriously sorry to joke. Thats a huge bummer. Heal up for next season!!
  3. I don't say much here...I ride Hardboots. Softboots. Rode Killington daily when I went to Castleton State in the 90's. Plenty of amazing riders in those days on both. I have nothing bad to say about either binding set up. I love to read posts from our friends in Colorado. It would be such a loss to lose those posts. Spread love and not hate. Carving on the gear of your choice is all that matters. This community is so small there is room for everyone who has realized the greatness of carving a snowboard. Not for nothing but our friend in Aspen is one of the most inspirational and kind people on this site, and I have not met him. However I know of him. Who can say anything of the surfers who defined modern surfing, who rode waves never before touched. Respect and keep on riding the surf and the snow. Nothing less than inspirational and a role model :)
  4. tonight bout 7" on the railing so far in Franconia. 4degrees and its fluff. Rode Bretton Woods today and snow was great. Light powder over groom. Broke a binding and nice guy from ski patrol gave me a lift down on snow machine. He was a hardbooter. Rides a Prior 185 WCR and other Oxygen decks. In the ski shop everyone knew him but I don't think he's on the forum. Tomoro is looking good
  5. From the past 3 days...the warm weather gave Cannon ice and Bretton Woods spring like conditions. Neither that great. The snow last night hit Conway more that the Franconia side. I actually went to Cranmore today and they have a foot of fresh, which should be getting groomed tonight. Resorts Attitash got the dump more than the west side of NH judging by my drive today. I'd guess Black and Wildcat will be good too. Hope for a ton more in thursdays storm!
  6. I just saw this. I was going to write a little review anyway. So I bought a pair just last week (they came in a day early and I was able to bring them to the mountains for the past 4 days, ty Bomber!) Set up on a Donek Razor. I've ridden this board for 2 years and it's an amazing carving soft boot board. Those who have used one would say it is probably the best carving specific soft boot board made :) Cant at 3 front and back. Conditions were Northeast ice, packed powder and a 12" powder day. My first run I first noticed you need to get moving, very slow control is a little lost. Same as with plate systems in hard boots. But the improvement in edge control was amazing and when I say low speed I mean a speed I never ride at unless avoiding trees in a tight glade. Buying these I honestly didn't expect that much of a difference...and of course I was WRONG! By the end of the day I was having the time of my life and able to really dive into turns in a way I've never felt in softs. The Pow...they were not right for that but I was loving them so much I didn't take them off. The Razor isn't made for that either, it was still fun. People do complain about the weight. I didn't notice but when I had my edges sharpened they did mention it. I don't hit the park and prefer a sturdy board under me, I actually like a little extra weight. To me the weight difference was marginal...not felt at all when riding, I could transition edge to edge just as fast as without, and looking uphill turns looked like I was riding hard boots (or like the softboots carvers here!). The board was a little heavier to carry. Who cares? Overall, having ridden the same board as my softy for 2 years, then adding the plates, I imagine I will be using them all the time. A really great design that you will love if you like to carve and really feel edge control. I'm still feeling the stoke of the past 4 days...but I can't say enough good things! Hope this helps. He's one vote for you buying a pair as fast as possible (the cant option from the TD3 base is nice too..I'd go 3). This tread may end up moved to the Bx page so keep an eye there too

You are going to have a sweet day! It's hard to sleep with this much snow on the ground
  8. Powder day today...but as I look from Franconia up to Cannon I see the lights of groomers on Profile. If they open it, it will be amazing. Anyone who can get a monday free I'll be there. Cheers!
  9. Is it safe to say?....best start at Cannon and Bretton woods in the past 5 years :)

anyone ride here much? I was thinking of getting a pass to ride wednesdays after work...not sure how much I'll really go
  13. Thanks for all the info guys. So great to have access to all this local knowledge through Bomber. NZ is still one of the places I really want to visit and this helps me narrow time the best time of year. It sounds like a combo surf / snowboard trip is not ideal...but my Patagonia wetsuit is amazing :) Again thanks for the replies I'll do some more research on each resort!
  14. Saw something on another thread, so.... Been thinking it would be a good idea for me to play a trip for next summer. Can any of you guys from New Zealand help me with my dreaming? What mountains do you recommend? What is a good time of year if I want to explore the country a bit too and maybe surf? Cheers, Rich
  15. do lots of stretching. That is the first line treatment. Search the internet for details. Physical Therapy works, your doctor will have to refer you. Take some Aleve (Naproxen). 2 pills twice a day is the prescription dose. If miserable it can be injected with a steroid (cortisone)...or there is newer treatment called prolotherapy which is working well for this. Need an orthopedist for that. For less invasive treatment get inserts with arch support. These can be bought at a pharmacy or orthotics can be made by a podiatrist...probably for your boots too if you want to stay on the hill. Some people swear by Acupuncture, might be worth a shot. A few ideas, good luck
  16. Mods, no problem. richardprouty at gmail dot com
  17. I'll get a pic up when I get out of work....
  18. Bump...need fundage for tuna season...next $650 takes all 3!!! wow!
  19. snow this week meant a total change. Bretton was awesome today. Powder in the woods and amazing groom...and its not that steep. Rode the Razor "softy" to get the woods, but would have been great if I stayed out all day on the groomers in hards. Still snowing when I left. Word from brother was Cannon was good too...and they are staying open an extra week because they have so much snow. More in the forecast for next week so its still going strong. Hit it. Possible Tuckermans hike on April 13th weekend....making up for last year for sure
  20. The Asym is regular, blue and short. 162. If you're interested I'll take some more pics. The Prior is the WCRM wide. 21. Like new condition Thanks for the interest Rich
  21. Prior Used 1 season, about 30 days. Didn't ride at all this year so it needs a good home. Custom built for me at 210 lbs. Plenty of life in this board. Never raced. $700 Other 2 boards are what they are. My first 2 hardboot boards. The factory prime has zip for camber but would be great for a beginner. The asym is to small for me, but has life left. I bought them each for $100. If there is interest I'll do $75. Less its not worth the time.
