  1. For all of you that are completely jonezin' to get into your new gear, Bomber is now taking preseason orders (I know, we said we weren't but we changed our minds. My apologies to anyone I have told otherwise). Go to the store to place your preseason order. PLEASE NOTE: most things are not available until November, which means we will not ship until November!!!! As soon as we get the goods in stock, we will ship them (it may be sooner, I can't predict if the manufacturer ships early). We have no reason to wait and hold them, except for giving you guys/girls a reason to call/email me and say "When is my stuff going to be shipped??" :) Also, if a size is not listed, that means we don't have it and probably won't be getting it (exceptions are noted on that particular page). Have a great season!
  2. I feel lucky! 15 minutes to Copper, 25 minutes to Vail, 20 minutes to Breck, A-Basin, and Keystone, 25 minutes to Loveland. Median single family home here: $450 US That's why I live in a tiny little apartment
  3. Glenwood Springs is a LONG drive, after a day of carving and if you want to go to any of the after parties, plus the weather could make it real fun driving, and you have to do it for 7 days! Carbondale or Basalt is a much better option, in my opinion. Basalt even has a Best Western. Check out the lodging page on the SES site.
  4. I am waiting for one more price, and then it will be available on the web site. I will put a thread on this forum when it is all available.
  5. It is! The name is Stubaier-Glacier and this shot is from the Eisgrattrack.
  6. This guy has all of you beat (ok, maybe not Randy). This is one of my Tele customers that skiis at a glacier in Austria. Lifts are running, turns are being made, and check out the weather! Photos were taken last weekend.
  7. It's got a bug or two, but I'm working on it.
  8. Possibly, if I can make the software work that way.
  9. I think an all mountain board is a great introduction to someone who has either never snowboarded or is a strong soft booter. These boards have enough flex to not scare people off right at the get-go. I have an all mountain board, and I love it. They also work great for people who have experience in riding, but like the flexibility (like me).
  10. We have added a new feature to the BOL site, Instructor Search. For those of you who want to find an instructor at a particular mountain, you can search by state and the instructor, mountain, certifications, and email information will appear. We have had nurmerous requests for this, so hope it helps. The list is not complete yet, I will be adding instructors to the list in the upcoming months. By the time everyone is snowboarding, the list should be getting really full. If you have any questions, email me at bomber@bomberonline.com Hope for a wet Colorado winter season!
  11. You will have to pick them up from me, so you will have to find me (won't be that hard, just look for the tent. I'm in it all the time!). I don't think they will be for specific days, it will be more like a range (Feb 12 - 20th), or something like that. I am not exactly sure yet, I will find out more information before the prices go up.
  12. You can always ask as the hotel/condo that you are making reservations through if they can include lift tickets, and at what price. However, we are getting such a screaming deal on the tickets that it may be worth it for you to buy the entire 6 days and just not use some of them. You can always try to sell the last 2 days to someone staying late. Check around, I am sure there is something you can work out.
  13. I think you have to be REAL good friends to ride that board that Fin posted! However, I do think it's awesome that we can give people with handicaps a chance to experience what we all take for granted. Best of luck Lee!
  14. I am also going to start something at the BOL site. All the instructors who contact us will be eligable to have their name put on an "Instructor Search" which will be searchable by state/resort. It will have their name and contact info, plus their credentials (Level III, etc). I have so many people ask me this question it's unreal, so thought I would do something about it. Gald to see someone else is doing it too! Thanks !
  15. Sorry! That's about the best I can do. There really isn't a good shuttle from Denver to Aspen, it's a 4 hour drive. Your best bet is to either fly into Aspen or fly into Denver and rent a car. Just depends on your situation. If you are coming alone, it might be the same price to fly into Aspen as it will be to rent a car. If you are coming with a few other people, it would be worth it to rent a car.
  16. Try either Resort Express or Colorado Mountain Express . They might now have merged into the same company, but try them anyway. You can also Greyhound from Denver-Summit County, and then hitch a ride from someone coming in from Summit. Also try United Express. They run a shuttle service by plane from Den-Aspen, but when the flights can't land they also run a bus service. You may have to call the 800# to figure that one out. I would post a thread on here/BOL and ask who is flying in on the same day, leaving the same day, and ask to pay 1/2 gas for a ride. There should be someone that is coming that way on those days. The St Moritz hotel is right in Aspen, walking distance to all of downtown Aspen's finest. However, we are riding at Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Highlands. Once you get into Aspen it's not a big deal to get to the other mountains, there is a free shuttle bus that takes you there inthe day, and i think it costs $2/ride after 5pm or something. Plus I am sure you can find a ride from someone at the SES - these guys are pretty nice if you buy them a beer or so :) . Check out themap of Aspen with the St Moritz hotel on there. I would contact them, and they can tell you all the details. I might get something wrong, and then everyone would be angry . It's best to get it from the source.Glad you're excited. I am working on the final pricing, and it should be up on the web soon! Keep the questions coming, let me know if I can help with anything else.
  17. I heard that 2 days ago they started making snow at A-Basin, and there is a possibility that either Loveland or A-Basin will open in a few weeks. Crazy! That's nuts! We've had at the very least 2 1/2 months by then! Of course, we only had about 2 1/2 months of summer.... no wonder people put their sunglasses on when we put on shorts the first time in the summer!
  18. I think I have inflicted enough torture. The last one was not me, although Leadville is about 20 minutes from where I live. What a great shot! Oh wait, it's snowing again here...... :)
  19. And the picnic table where just yesterday we were quietly eating our lunch.... By the way, it's 28F here also.
  20. Here's what it looks like 10 hours later:
  21. That's on a normal day, this day is special! Fin knew it would snow today, so he banned the "frivolous activities" in the office. Last Thursday was the day for "extrcurricular activities" that included getting out of the office on the most beautiful day ever!
  22. Hi Ed I don't know why you would ever want to leave Switzerland but.... I have posted a lot of accomodations for Aspen for the SES that might be helpful. Aspen is a fantastic place to carve and if you stay 5 days you can get affordable lodging. It has some amazing grooming and the crowds are low, although it will be the Christmas season. We live in Summit County, CO (home of Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, and A-Basin) and some of the best terrain. However, at that time of year the crowds will be out of control. I would consider Aspen or even Beaver Creek next to Vail for some great carving. Best of luck!
  23. It's really coming down now. I will put up another photo in an hour before I leave work, just to make you guys drool.
  24. Bomber got it's first taste of winter today as the snow is coming down in full force. The cars are getting covered, and we can hardly see outside of the parking lot. We are expected to get up to 8 inches by tonight!
  25. Here's some more lodging choices in Basalt, which is about 20minutes from Snowmass. The Green Drake Shenandoah Inn Taylor Creek Cabins 970-927-9927 Starry Pines Ranch and Lodging This place is actually in Snowmass. Best Western
