  1. If your highback has slots/holes near the top, simply thread a Booster strap through them and tighten them down around the front of the boot according to how much support you want. This is pretty close to the old Burton Torque binding feeling. I have been doing this for years and it works great. Best thing is if you want to jump off trail for a pow run, just loosen the Booster strap to get more play back and enjoy that surfy feel.
  2. it's about to go into summer storage so pls let me know. It's a steal for $100.
  3. Thanks for those who responded. Here are some pics. There is one very small gouge near the rail that I've invluded a pic of here, otherwise it's very normal wear and tear.
  4. Burton Frontier 175, moderate use, still good shape. Great power freeride board, holds up well with plates. buyer pays shipping. Tony

  7. Anyone have any?? Red or purple preferred??
  8. Same deal, same board. Ridden once, but in mint condition. This is a good all around board, but I just have too many in the quiver and will never ride this. $200/b.o. Buyer pays shipping. :D
  9. Dsub, I have both the Head Stratos and Stratos Pro. I find the standard Stratos to be MUCH softer and use it for my All Mtn and Freeride boards (Coiler All Mtn 177 and Burton Frontier 175). The softer boot gives me much more feel of my edges and allows me to bend lower alot easier. It also has more of a 'surfy' feel in soft conditions, very close to that of a stiff softboot. For true hardpack conditions, I still like the Pros as you need maximum edge leverage to really carve with stability. I was hoping to get down to just one pair of boots, but having both gives me great range of use. Startingate in VT carries both models of Stratos.
  10. Never used Head Stratos 27.5. Orange and brown color. Had bought these as backups but am going to a full race boot and now I have too many pairs. I've ridden the same boot in the previous model year. Extremely comfy, easy to adjust, good buckles. Nice for folks with wider feet who can't fit Raichle. Box has never been opened. $200 or best offer. Tony
  11. This is a pretty aggressive board. I was able to almost get laid out on a 165 Fuel (narrow version of the Timeless) and I'm 200 lbs. Like it says above, just increasing boot angle. You might also want to try and thread a Booster strap thru the highback of the front binding and wrap it around the top cuff of the boot to totally lock in that foot.
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3659812236&category=21250&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWN%3AIT&rd=1 Kinda hard to say no to this deal. Just got one for myself.
  13. http://www.skimetrix.com/ I bought a pair of these for hardboots, but also found it quite useful for soft carving. Two options to use: 1. Put it around the top of the cuff of the boot, just like you would on a hardboot to get a super snug fit and medium response. 2. Thread it thru the back of the highback of the binding, put your foot in as normal, connect the normal straps, then tighten down the Booster strap as a 'third strap'. This keeps the boot against the highback for a hard response. I tried this because I was having trouble getting enough response out of my Burton Mission bindings and Salomon Malamutes on my Burton Frontier 175. It works wonders, as close to the hardboot feel on a softsetup as I have experienced. If you want to retain some of the surfy feel off piste, just add the Booster on the front binding so you have some play in the back. Best of both worlds and you can always remove it for the really soft days.
  14. Can't wait to leave the Euro-gloom for some good 'ole American carving. Kirk McClure and I will be there for all days!!:D :D Tony Swei
