Wonderful to watch so many great riders over the course of the week, hope to

see you all next year :)

Bob, nice meeting and riding with you, you are an inspiration to all !!!

  2. Marty, did you hook up with ink & the LCI on Sunday ? email me thru the board, gotta another hot tip for you before you leave the area.

(Blue River Special @ the Sunshine Cafe in Dillion) had to stop on my way from Aspen to DIA, good as ever :).....

  3. More like 'seen from the lift' - here's a funny from "the making of SkES". I was setting up the shot for the final 'eurocarve' which of course was just me stretched out on the snow with my pocket camera on pocket tripod set up just uphill. From the lift a woman saw the apparent yard sale and my motionless body, called patrol at the top and came zooming down to save me! Guess 'eurocarving' look pretty dangerous! Sorry I couldn't come up with a good way to work it into the story.... :)

Awesome, as ALWAYS. You should be a writer !!

  4. just an Old Fart that shuns change (took 6 years to figure out the old board, and only knew 1/2 of it) but I'll try to navigate as I'm sure it is a change for the better.

It looks like I am in the minority, but to me the colors all seem to blend (not enough Pop) specially the light blue.

I miss the italic and bold options for messages, I thought they were here the other day and I see others have used them, can't get the smileys to work either, duh ?

Love the Groom, that will be my next custom Topsheet ! 2 Days to SES (and a fresh batch on the way) but who's counting ? - jp1

  5. Matt, I agree with GeoffV 100%. If you are even remotely interested, make it (ECES) happen. It sounds like you're ready, so a sick day or 2 may be in order to attend ECES.

It IS the only way you will be able to 'Try-It-Before-You-Buy-It' on the east coast !

You will NOT be disappointed, and it may save you a lot of $$ in the long run (Specially in Boots) finding what fits and what works for you the FIRST TIME :biggthump

  6. barryj, I did it to an older board (no grinds left) I have to mount a plate system directly to the board.

Unless you are experienced with this type of work, I would recommend finding a builder or an experienced shop do the job, specially on a newer (good) board.

The cost of the materials (countersink, inserts, epoxy, P-tex) alone is not cheap.

While the integrity of the inserts/ epoxy does not seem to be a problem, the finish on my P-tex plugs leave a bit to be desired :( .

  7. 88, we miss riding/seeing/watching you on the 'slops' this year. In retrospect, it was a good year to NOT purchase a Season Pass. I know people that are sorry they bought a Six-Pack !

Look at the positive side, you saved $400-$500 (that's enough to get you to ECES for a few days) and go for 89 :biggthump ............

  8. James, sorry to hear and hope you are back to 100% soon !

What a Stupid thing for an Instructor to say: "The boys said the instructor then skiied off with his student making some remark about how I shouldn't have been on the mountain on an old directional board, with ski boots" :( ......
