Jose, my Sportube weighs 17lbs.

More like 'seen from the lift' - here's a funny from "the making of SkES". I was setting up the shot for the final 'eurocarve' which of course was just me stretched out on the snow with my pocket camera on pocket tripod set up just uphill. From the lift a woman saw the apparent yard sale and my motionless body, called patrol at the top and came zooming down to save me! Guess 'eurocarving' look pretty dangerous! Sorry I couldn't come up with a good way to work it into the story.... :)
Awesome, as ALWAYS. You should be a writer !!

Thanks Bigs !!

Silver is stiffest.

JohnE, you may have a lot of 'takers' with the storm forecasted !? My flight was Cancelled, so it looks like it's going to be a Crap-Shoot from here out.
Question: Looking at the Weather Channel, what is considered "the Front Range Urban Corridor" ?
I'm 'guessing' from Denver to Summit County Areas ??
Thanks - jp1

Yes, Southwest has already Cancelled my flight :( which was to arrive @ 9:25 AM.
Next flight available arrives @ 2:45 PM (which seems to me to be a worse time storm-wise) so that may get Cancelled :(:( also.

Group Effort here, I think we need to agree on a day to take off the Winter Tires and put on the Summer Tires, if that don't work, I'm out of suggestions.

just an Old Fart that shuns change (took 6 years to figure out the old board, and only knew 1/2 of it) but I'll try to navigate as I'm sure it is a change for the better.
It looks like I am in the minority, but to me the colors all seem to blend (not enough Pop) specially the light blue.
I miss the italic and bold options for messages, I thought they were here the other day and I see others have used them, can't get the smileys to work either, duh ?
Love the Groom, that will be my next custom Topsheet ! 2 Days to SES (and a fresh batch on the way) but who's counting ? - jp1

It's new, I hate it.

Matt, I agree with GeoffV 100%. If you are even remotely interested, make it (ECES) happen. It sounds like you're ready, so a sick day or 2 may be in order to attend ECES.
It IS the only way you will be able to 'Try-It-Before-You-Buy-It' on the east coast !
You will NOT be disappointed, and it may save you a lot of $$ in the long run (Specially in Boots) finding what fits and what works for you the FIRST TIME

barryj, I did it to an older board (no grinds left) I have to mount a plate system directly to the board.
Unless you are experienced with this type of work, I would recommend finding a builder or an experienced shop do the job, specially on a newer (good) board.
The cost of the materials (countersink, inserts, epoxy, P-tex) alone is not cheap.
While the integrity of the inserts/ epoxy does not seem to be a problem, the finish on my P-tex plugs leave a bit to be desired :( .

Fire up the milling machine if you want steel receivers for Cateks. It's a pretty simple modification to have the 'silky smooth' entry and piece of mind seeing the pins engaged :) ........

88, we miss riding/seeing/watching you on the 'slops' this year. In retrospect, it was a good year to NOT purchase a Season Pass. I know people that are sorry they bought a Six-Pack !
Look at the positive side, you saved $400-$500 (that's enough to get you to ECES for a few days) and go for 89 ............
-
and AMAZING scenery !
-
GeoffV, Thanks. I did call Stratton Group Sales & they told me that "the ECES Coordinators would have vouchers to hand out, that would then come to the ticket window to be transferred to Lift Tickets".
I was just concerned if the cut-off date was the same (this Friday) as lodging.
-
AlexJ, sorry if I missed it somewhere else but, is their any more information on purchasing 2012 Lift Tickets only ? Thanks jp1.
-
Todd, sorry to hear. Take Care and heal well, hoping you are back to 100% soon...
-
James, sorry to hear and hope you are back to 100% soon !
What a Stupid thing for an Instructor to say: "The boys said the instructor then skiied off with his student making some remark about how I shouldn't have been on the mountain on an old directional board, with ski boots" :( ......
-
Overheard one of the other 'first trackers' saying they returned his money for a season pass & told him 70 and over ski FREE :).
-
I can't believe they lasted that long at that price. We all know the going price for TD1's is $400 (hope fin didn't chuck that CNC program !)
The worst conditions to ride in

"A guy at a local hill got ice skates out of his car as a joke, but they wouldn't let him on the lift. "
I always wondered about that, I honestly believe some days they would be better than a board or ski's ...............
