  1. Dave, FYI, the Lehigh Valley Velodrome has a (flea market) sale twice a year. Vendors & sellers come from all over. All kinds of new & used goodies ( bikes, parts, clothing, etc.).

The Spring sale is past, but they'll have one also in the Fall. If you're seriously looking to buy new, that's usually the one to be at since the dealers are looking to unload the current year stuff to make room for next years models. I bought a new $2300 (list) Cannondale road bike a few years back for $1000.

  2. teach, I know you've been out there a couple times in the past, but IF you haven't already, do yourself a favor and take Rt. 6 back to the Dillion/Silverthorne area.

When you leave Lovey Parking Lot, go RIGHT (up over Rt.6) instead of left (back to I-70).

When you go up 'Switchback Lift', at the top look up and you will see a guardrail.

When you go up Rt.6, you'll know where the name 'Switchback' came from. You can pull over and look right down on the trail from the road.

It then continues on down and arond A-Basin and Keystone. Lovely scenery for flatlander folk (like me).

And don't forget the 'Blue River Special' @ The Sunshine Cafe this time :D .

  3. All Board Sports in Boulder, Co. and Bomber Industries in Silverthorne, Co. are my favorites, but they're both 1200+ miles away :( .

It's a must to stop in at each when making the trip to Colorodo (where's the drool guy ?) :biggthump ..............

  4. Glenn, Greg and I rode BM yesterday (Wed), ran into Chubz at the end of the day (woa, 4 'piners, guess that was BMES 2012 :) ....

It was without a doubt the best carving I've had there this season from 9-11 am when it started getting 'fluky', too soft and slow.

Pretty sure I'm going to get a Weekday Only Season Pass for CB next year.

Just can't justify BM double the cost of CB any longer, and CB allows Early Access to pass holders, correct ??

  5. "By the end of the day, Fire Bowl was trenched, Drifter was ripped, Fire Cut was grooved, Roulette was anialated and then we took the short bus over to Switchback, after which there was no doubt the LCI had been there"

Dusty, Shame on you ALL :biggthump

  6. Sold the Go Pro camera so have no use for these mounts. Brand new in bags.

    (1) Handlebar/Seatpost Mount Kit #GRH30, new in bag, fits (.75"-1.4" / 1.9cm-3.5cm) diameters -- $ 15.00 cash

    (1) Rollbar Mount Kit #GRBM30, new in bag, fits (1.25"-2.5" / 3.5cm-6.35cm) diameters -- $ 25.00 cash

Take both for $ 35.00 cash

  7. teach, I also like full coverage helmets and the Boeri fit pretty good (always have trouble fitting any kind of helmet) but could not find Boeri last time around, when the liner started to deteriorate. I ended up purchasing a Leedom off of fleabay and have been happy with it (has side vents and an adjustable sliding vent on the top) except for the built in goggle strap retention system.

I just ordered a Giro Sestriere @ BM the other day because of the fit & feel :) .......
