  1. Hi kathy, I wasn't trying to jump the line. I was hoping you had found something elsewhere! I know it's tough to find hardboots cheap, that's the main reason I tried to switch to softies last season. Didn't really like the setup, so still searching for deal on "softer HB". Even considering NOS Track 225 from Germany for 179 Euros (+ shipping + possible hassles?!). Anyways good luck in your search...hopefully Keenan still has them for you. Bueller..Buel..er...Keenan...Keenan???
  2. Hey Keenan, just checking to see if boots did in fact sell? If somehow still available, and you could let'em go for $100 + shipping, then I'll take them! Please let me know, thanks ZL.
  3. Not mine, but came across this Never Summer Titan. Board is supposed to be great freeride board, don't know if you could ride it with plates? but it comes with Burton P1 bindings. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Never-Summer-Titan-Snowboard-Burton-P1HD-bindings-/130590836042?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D130588127282%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D3797847460754947222 Hope the link works, I'm not exactly tech savy!
  4. Thanks all for the great ideas and help. Turns out Greyhound can deliver station to station within 3 days, for about $45! Beauty of Greyhound's service is everyday is a business day...weekend doesn't hold up delivery like most shippers! Finding someone flying same route is a great idea, if you're at the shipping end to ask/arrange/wrap in view of. In a real pinch it could work, and fast!
  5. I'm looking for suggestions as to what would be the fastest way to ship a board across Canada, hopefully at a reasonable price? My friend will ship from Vancouver tomorow(thurs.), and I need it by Mon. A.M. in Ottawa!!! Do any shippers deliver into the weekend? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  6. Interested in the bindings, if you'd be willing to ship to Ottawa, Canada. Wondering what year these are? Assuming they were also used "15 times"? Of course wondering $ how much for bindings alone? BTW-found your ebay listing for Malamutes, but no bindings? (checked seller's "other items", also searched Salomon spx6?) BTW2-hope the illness is nothing too serious and you're able to get back riding before too long.
  7. Palmer Titanium Chanel now SOLD for $142.50! OUCH! (I tried at steal of $140. but got sniped, couldn't justify more $ for BX Race specific,as second board at this point! (I need 1 good do-it-all board.)
  8. My recent search for a new (to me?) board, has me trying to decide from a selection of boards ranging from (very old) NOS to more recent models that are used but in good shape. (My desire for a quality ride on a stupid tight budget has led me to search out all kinds of interesting deals!) For example I've come across an Elan Vertigo from 2000 and also from 2007ish. Then there are a few older Arbor A-Frames , I've heard alot of great things about the recent models($$), but don't know if they were as good 2000-2005 ish? True with a variety of products (favourite underwear included), I've sometimes found that a companies attempt to "new and improve" something, can not only be disapointing, but sometimes be so bad you're forced to buy another company's product! Food ("new and improved recipe") products are another one. Of course different products can change over time for a number of reasons. Hopefully, snowboarding products improve as a result of technology advancement, rider testing, research, etc. Unfortunately, some things go from topnotch to shabby because a company loses focus, cuts corners ($), changes owners, etc. We see the good and the bad in the automotive industry all the time! Anyways...what I'm wondering is if anyone can offer opinion on the developement or not, of these two models over the past 5-10 years? Also, I know they're not mentioned here very often, but the Option Vinson is another board I'm curious about. I believe Option had a very good reputation in the early 2000s, then ? Heard somewhere their high end boards were good quality till the end, but wondering if anyone knows or actually rode any? Any and all opinions/ideas/info. much appreciated. Other examples, stories of favourite products "NEW AND IMPROVED" becoming junk might be interesting. Thanks, ZL.
  9. Thank-you for the input guys. Andy 1-Back when I was somewhat knowledgeable about snowboard gear (99-2000), Option had a really good reputation for quality boards. I've heard alot of different things about more recent years. Are you saying you prefered older versions? If quality was as good towards the end of Options existance, I thought I'd prefer #3-new. Any thoughts?? teach- on the Arbors-A-Frame vs. Crossbow, I wondered the same? Only idea I had was maybe A-Frame was a stepup in their line? Any idea of waist width on 166? Still really like your Vertigo, appreciate latest offer! BlueB-Vertigo164 is 2000, based on topsheet design pics. found online. I thought Paypal only protected buyers on Ebay? Normally like to have "faith in people" but in phone conversation guy seemed somehow sketchy? Time almost up on Palmer-someone said they don't hold up well over time? found out it's about 8 years old. Thanks again guys, really appreciated! ZL.
  10. Hey all! First off, I’m not sure if this post belongs here or ? It just seems to be more traffic here, and I’m looking for as much response/help as possible. Besides, I have always been one of those “funny snowboard guys on ski boots” (!), learning on an old pair of Koflachs, and carving on Burtons ever since. If a problem, I’ll move it (or someone can?) . So... here’s my situation. For the last 10+ years I have been riding on the same equipment. My Sims Daytona 166 has held up incredibly well, and been a great do-it-all board! Boots were due for replacement long ago, but for the little riding I was doing (mostly on little local eastern hills) I couldn’t justify. I hardly looked at new gear, when I did, mostly for boots, carving gear seemed hard to find and expensive (sad and frustrating!). In the last while I started seriously looking (in stores + online) at what was now available. Online, I found cheap some basically new Salomon Malamutes (Down the road $ and life permitting, I’ll add a hardbboot setup). Daytona finally died, so now I’m looking for help/advice in deciding on a new board. Although I don’t wanna give up the ability to carve/speed, I’m thinking I’d also like to be able to slow down and improve other aspects of my riding. No, I don’t want to become a park brat! Just looking for something a little more versatile/forgiving. Again for the near future, I’ll be mostly limited to small local hills, so that’s also affecting my thinking. Oh yeah, and I’m also on a really tight budget! Too much to ask???I’m 6’2”-190lbs.-size 9 boot. Here’s a list of some of the options I’ve found: 1-168 Elan Vertigo-few years old-good shape- Teach selling here on BOL-$300 2-164 Elan Vertigo-2000?model year-brand new! +(?)bindings-$80- problem is, can I trust a stranger on Craigslist to come thru if I send $80? Anybody in Colorado want to help us (for a fee)? 3-161 Option Vinson –2009?-new-$200 +/- Tried a Signature in 2000, and was really impressed! 4-162 Option Vinson-older?-good shape + Ride (?) bindings-$200 5-166 Arbor Crossbow- few years old-good shape-$ 150 6-162+166 Arbor A-Frames –various listings- I’ve heard there awesome, but seems beauty of the wood keeps prices high? 7-164 K2 Zeppelin-‘08/’09?-in wrapper-$249- Local box store- Wondering about the quality, and maybe too much compromise? 8-Either for me at another time another place, or as a PSA. For putting up with my long winded story, maybe I can help someone else find a deal? 164 Palmer Channel Titanium-year?-good shape-on Ebay, 1 day to go, so far 1 bidder at $100. I don’t know, isn’t this potentially a good deal? Aren’t Palmers stupid expensive? Sure as hell looks nice, and fast! I’m open to any suggestions, and definitely appreciate any thoughts/advice. Need to decide and buy very soon. Also looking for bindings to complete setup, any available? Thank-you very much for any help, ZL.
  11. Hello again Teach. We exchanged emails little while ago. I'm still very interested, unfortunately I'm now on an even more ridiculous budget. Would you consider $200. + shipping? I know that's a pretty low offer, but it's about all I can do! Please let me know, thanks ZL.
  12. Wondering if you still have the Vertigo to sell? Even if it's not ideal, I think the 162 length will be ok, especially at that price! I'm about 190 lbs. If your willing, I have no concerns regarding shipping/customs into Canada, of course any issues (very unlikely) I'll deal with. Please let me know asap, as I need to buy something very soon. Thanks.
