  1. Nate...the problems with the those is that they weren't built very well. (Actually all the parks weren't built very well hence the fact that I tended to overshoot just about everything and ended up breaking two boards last season...crappy Burtons not the new Doneks). I thought those jumps were big 'til we did a trip down to Hood the weekend before my surgery. The jumps they had on the Texas Trail were monstrous. One run through there and I was back down to the main park where all the rails and half pipe were. ________ LITTLEBUTTERFYFOR4
  2. I read that article. It really helped doing the "S". Before I would do just a slight carve to help the prewind. My spins are still a work in progress and have been limited due to an injured shoulder and a fear factor of increased injury but doing the S definitely helped. On a side note... NateW kicks @**. He is one of my favorite riders to watch. How often do you see someone digging trenches and throwing spins effortlessly in between? Nate, I think the biggest kicker in the middle section at West is 30 ft with a 20 ft table. The big ones to the left are 30, 40, and 50'. ________ How to roll a blunt
  3. What about using 4 mini force plates for measuring heel & toe inputs? Then all you would have to carry is a meter & scientific calculator. ________ Body Science
  4. That's how I feel about trying to railslides and grinds after surgery. If I only had those hooks that you could mount using the truck hardware. Do they still make those for mt. boards? I know you used to be able to get them with those big Tonka lookin' mudder wheels. ________ Montana marijuana dispensary
  5. I just started skating again after about a year, more important things like snowboarding and then surgery take up a lot of time. I love talking to guys who are older than me (I just turned 30)that still skate talk about "the old days". :p I started skatin' in the '80's strictly street with some launch ramps. When we moved to the sticks when I was in jr. high I was stuck riding on the side of a two lane highway or in my basement with half of pingpong table propped up against the wall on each end of the room. When we finally moved into "town" I was lucky enough to make friends with a kid who had a mini ramp a couple of blocks away. The only decent park was in Seattle 2.5 hours away. Now there are loads of parks including a new one that just opened within 10 min. of home. (Nate, have you skated Woodinville yet?) Hmm.. forgot where I was going with this...oh yeah. How old is too old? It's all relative. To me the future of alpine riding is similiar to the future of skateboarding. As older guys go to longboards in skateboarding it's kind of like people trading in there soft boots for hard ones. ________ Fix Ps3
  6. Mine is pretty self explanitory...Scottish Heavy Athletics. I can't compete this year due to shoulder surgery so I'm judging instead. Unfortunately, it also means I'm missing the summer carve camp (same weekend as the games even though I wouldn't be able to ride anyway).:( ________ UTG SNIPER MAGAZINES SPRING AIRSOFT
  7. I was already committed to judging at the PNW Highland games before I knew the dates and the doc still hasn't cleared me to ride. :( ________ Lovely Wendie
  8. Hey SpeedDemon...Here's the bike for you. That should solve your seat height problem.:D ________ Extreme q vaporizer
  9. Or if you want to recreate the feel of Snoqualmie make sure it's pouring rain, gusting 10 knots and 32 F. ________ Body science
  10. I've done my share of one footers including one complete run through the park (a little liquid courage). No pics though. :( I'll have to try and get some footage this next season. ________ Lsd rehab dicussion
  11. Nate they just replayed your video on NWCN . Have you heard of or seen the flock of green parrots in Greenwood/Greenlake? ________ Lolite Vaporizer Review
  12. When can we skate it? :) ________ Ship sale
  13. :D I do. I do... I snapped my middle toe skim boarding in Hawaii and now I have trouble finding boots. I love my boots tight so I usually use my right foot for fitting and endure the pain for the rest of the season. Why? I don't know but this could be the solution. ________ Weed
  14. Those might be to big, I'll have to check. ________ LovelyWendie
  15. I wish I could've picked more than one answer. I love to surf and skate during the summer and snowboard as much as possible. Unfortunately having shoulder surgery pretty much cut everything out this summer...even work. Now I'm stuck at home except when I go to school...BORING. ________ UGGS
  16. Looking a set of used JR plate bindings for next season. ________ Judaism advice
  17. I wonder if Fin ever plans on making a freeride binding. Sure would be nice. ________ SC2 REPLAYERS
  18. July 30- Aug 1 How many are planning to go? Looks like a good rehab "goal" date for me to get back on snow. ________ FREE MOVIES XXX
  19. Wow... I got 9/9 (50) in 35 sec. It's interesting to see the scores some of the football players got. I guess it just goes to show snowboarders (at least the alpiners) are more intellectual. :) ________ YOUNGSWEETPUSSY4U
  20. I ran out of time the first time not realizing how quick it was going but the second time I hauled ass and got it all. Kind of like slipping the course then going for gold. :) The test makes you remember all the places I would never want to live.:) ________ Desire4you
  21. Mike, Maybe we could work something out with Cascade Ski Club as an option for a place to stay. That is about the cheapest lodging I know of in G. C. plus the facilities are pretty good and would make an excellent base of operations. ________ LovelyWendie
  22. My son just turned 3 and started skiing this last season. This next season he will be swapping over to a snowboard (freestyle board with plate bindings)! He has fun skiing (even landing small jumps) but is constantly saying..."Daddy, I snowboard?" So you won't be the youngest for long!:) ________ Isetta
  23. Damn...why did I have to be broke and broken right now! Looks like you guys had a blast. Mike, I'll definitely let you know when I'm able to ride again (late Summer even though the doc says I can't do any damage to my shoulder now). When I do come down I'll bring the new Donek Twins down for everyone to demo. Sean not only makes the best alpine boards but the sickest freestyle ones as well.:D ________ Zx14 Vs Hayabusa
  24. No kidding...I was down there in April and it snowed the whole time. I got hurt late Saturday and couldn't ride with the rest of my group on Sunday and now I'm out until at least July because of shoulder surgery.:( Maybe we could have another carve fest in August. :) ________ What is love
  25. I just had my 1st post op appointment yesterday. Stitches are out and appearently there was little damage. Nine days after the surgery and the doc already released me to light duty and PT. The tear was minor and in fact was "sweater shaved" away. He said the majority of pain was caused by a bone spur that was poking my rotator cuff. Bone spur removed and I'm feeling much better. Supposedly I should be back to full duty in 6-8 weeks ________ Ipad guide
